One thing the market has taught me is never say never.
It is just that you mention "one trader....." followed by what some would consider an insane proposition. Just WHO is this trader, that his/her thoughts should be given any air time, or considered credible?

The article at your link is fantastic. And it proves the FX market is manipulated, and to no small degree either! Firms capable of moving the market will do so, for a variety of motives probably none of which are kind, creating extensive price movements that have nothing to do with the relative value of the currencies in the pair!

yep... could be.. i just hope its not flat.. where i live its better then most of the country job wise.. but we are now just starting to feel it.. la/tx area. i dont know what the anticipated number is.. but i dont see employment going up yet... sure all the used car salemen have everone in bliss buying stocks.. but all those companies have to sell something with unemployed buyers it could be tough.. and even tougher for exporters to the u.s. to add to this fuel is going up.. so more u.s consumers spending more on fuel... oil going up will kill a fragile economy...all companies buy fuel since everything is shipped using fuel..company spends more for fuel are less likely to employ new workers..its not in the budget..

Traderathome, Yes I agree with you never chase a trade wait for the next train. Those sayings are double edge swords. They can make you or break you. That is why I want to test truth in this one this time.

yup i believe there is, the pair movement is unexpainable so because forex is said to be zero sum game than because of this rally and because of such big money there must be one or several big players that must go into the pit. One of them i believe is UBS

I didn't mention anything. Market News reported "Yet another trader" and "an observation heard elsewhere" which I interpret as "more than one trader".

You know, I'd rather read stuff like this than the stuff you were spewing the other night on this thread that was unsurprisingly extracted and I didn't even hit the clean up button.

Anything is possible and just because you have 10+ V's doesn't make you any more correct in your interpretation of the market than Joe Blog on the trading desk.

A newbie might look at your post and think hey he's got 10+ V's, he must be good at trading, he's going short, so will I. The news tidbit was just saying that there is a possibility that the market could go higher. That's all.

And I'm flat so I don't really give a toss where the market goes.
Nothing worth having is easy.

The article at this link suggests UBS is bullish on the dollar....and would that mean they might have substantial short positions on the EU? If so, and they have suffered this "euro rally", today's highs and waning volume may give them the opportunity to add hard to their shorts now, turning momentum to their favor........? UBS would not be alone, contrary to all other big firms and banks. So, they may all muster a concerted effort here to swing the tide. Food for thought.

From a trading book of mine:

"When George Soros was short the British pound and was told the British government had allocated the equivalent of 20 billion U.S. dollars to stabilize the currency, he shrugged and said, "That will help them for 30 minutes. Then what are they going to do?" He made over a billion dollars on that trade."

So much for manipulation - the biggest can only get away with for so long before the market discovers the weakness and pushes it the other way.

Terms like "Yet another trader" and "an observation heard elsewhere", could refer to a "nobody" and his/her friends, paid (or not) to make such statements, just so there would be that nonsense to print and, thusly, pass on possible garbage as something that did not stink. For me, it is all too vague. If anyone credible was behind such observations, I am sure the writer would have made mention.

Did any one consider looking at the longer time frame? I would short maybe there if the trend line will not be broken,cheers

Of late, there is a lot of preoccupation with getting "Binned". Notice that? As one already victimized, I pick up on that. Big Brother has a heavy hand of late, and imho not all that righteously swung, as I challanged and never got the courtesy of a reply. Oh well, back to trading before #2 happens......

I second that. There seems an element of randomness about it, where one favourite will get away with calling the USA 'Satan' or the next chap will use the 'F' word and nothing happens then all of a sudden somebody uses the S##T word and are binned for a couple of weeks. It's so weird.

I hope I don't get binned for writing the above.

Ok, notch. I am not looking to be Binned twice, so I am not going the rounds with you on this, as we did the other night.....just having fun, to be sure, but Big Brother, imho, sways to minority opinion unrighteously. So saying nothing is best.

Edit: Geez! Look what Gatorina just said! Ole' Twee must be having fits!!!!!!! Hell, that is worse than my post!!!!! Yeah, you are right....randomness.
