In line with the weekly fib from top to bottom, the 38.2 is roughly 1.64xx ... This price area is contained within an old gap present on the daily and weekly G/U charts on 2003/09/14. The gap was about 100 pips so I see this as the target for now ... 1.6400 and as high as 1.6500

I'm down with the green...

You know, dollar went up so far and so fast due to panic. The whole world was unwinding positions across the board.

Recent econ. data have shown worst is over. Risk apetite will be back and dollar is going down (mid - long term, not 15min chart).

But I don't see cable and euro going too high. Risk apetite will be back, but not that kind of unsane risk we were talking about before...

The worst is over only for now. There is much more to come. Many more people are loosing jobs, many more businesses are failing, many more homes are being foreclosed on and governments around the world are spending money like there is no tomorrow.

That being said however, with Forex you ride the trend and the trend is obvious at this time.

But the worst is not over, this is only the 3rd inning of a baseball game.

Worst is nowhere even close to over. Speaking long term, the dollar will cease to exist within five-ten years. Can someone please explain how anyone can possibly believe that the worst is over? What possible explanation can you have? Anyone with the smallest inkling of economics will realize that this is only the beginning...no, this isn't even the beginning, this is the overture. Everything that is going on today is sowing the seeds for a deeper disaster in the near future.

If you don't know what I'm saying, please take a look at the Austrian Business Cycle Theory (mises.org is a good start).

I meant worst of the crisis, not worst of the dollar. To me the green is going to sink down to hell.

I didn't understand if you're talking about the dollar or the crisis...

But I don't see us back to the stone age trading sheeps for a packa salt in the coming years.

What really intrigues me now is whether or not (and how strong) the carry trades would come back. GJ is now hovering around May '00 level.

The crisis is the dollar. All of the reactionary, interventionist actions that the state is taking will make the crisis worse. What do you think this crisis is? The "crisis" that everyone seems frightened of is an adjustment period where the imbalances in the savings/consumption ratio and the capital structure are being fixed by the market. The socialist policies of the state will prolong this depression, make it worse and eventually lead to a currency crisis.

I love the spin. I did not say we would be back into a barter system, but you should expect black markets to rise substantially in the coming years. As for a replacement of the dollar, it will be the Amero alongside a union of the United States, Mexico and Canada (see Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America Act, NAFTA).

You say "the green is going to sink down to hell"; do you not believe that a dollar crisis will affect the US economy? My point is that the two are the same. We are turning a short and quick recovery period (depression) into an orchestrated systematic implosion of our economy.
