The fact that the cable is able to climb back up after warnings of credit outlook suggests that the cable still has much more to climb, possibly up to 1.8 in the following months.

This is not so much about pound strength as it is about dollar weakness (look at other pairs).

But people like this guy think they can say they're short @ 1.5527 and then long @ 1.5730 and all of a sudden they make profit and they're geniuses there's no point in that.

All I am saying is don't be a cheap shot in not saying where you're stoploss is and taking credit when you're lucky...

that's all and it's common sense!!!!

Yes, dollar weakness is playing across the board now. Having said that, the UK is in a worse shape than the US and to have the cable rally like it did after the initial sell-off suggests that it still has lots more to climb.

Over the next few months, we could very well see it trading at 1.8. I hope that would be the time to short it..

Hi Guys,

I am hoping to go long because the dollar is basically destined for doom. The rising of GBP & EUR is not because of our currencies but due to the weakening of the dollar.

1 min, 5 min, 1 hr, 4 hr charts are all showing overbought. Should i wait until the indicators show underbought because knowing my luck as soon as i go long the whole thing will plummet.

I would appreciate your help.

as much as other people didnt wanted to believe the rate is now very close of 1.59 and look at what h i estimated and look how i estimated the long short is just a good oportunity to buy .

When you long guys win I personally will be happy for you............But when we shorties loose don't label us some Sh.t it is not nice........... someone has to loose so other person to win ..........that the rule of trading..........So we lost ..............hey dollar suddenly lost against GBP NY Fed started buying treasuries ............they say they din't buy the intended amount so this can be short lived.............after all what do I know.........

Yes, and cable strength could also be seen as a measure of risk appetite. Makes me believe that the current pullback in the stock markets might become a good buying opportunity for a continued rally (with potential targets in the 9800 - 10800 area for Dow).
