This is exactly what I was warning - there will be some appreciation but CHF is likely to depreciate. If you dont have too much banked on it try and close position next move in your favour.

SNB did say they would intervene to keep the CHF low.

guys before going next week they will action GBP bonds in u.k for its QE this can drive GBP down too ...........

I'm personally expecting CHF resting place to be around 1.128 -1.135 - My institutional colleagues though have been targeting a bit lower.

I get it from the newsflash from oanda. It just comes up so I can't paste any link. Apparently, Jordan hinted at that yesterday.

I don't normally follow this pair. Only looked at it out of curiosity due to the spike this pm as I was surprised at hitting target on my USD/CAD long.

Apparently, the eyes are on 1.518 for EUR/CHF. Not sure if this is helpful to your position. Just another bit of info for you to trade with.

[EUR/CHF] The Chf has dropped sharply with talk that semi-official selling was behind the move with the SNB declining to comment. The cross soared through 1.5100 to 1.5140 having been perilously close to the 1.5000 mark ahead of it with memories of the March intervention still in the market's mind and after much jaw-boning during the course of this week.

The cable is regaining yesterday's losses and trading over the 1.5200 level. Pay attention to the US dada today. If they're better than expected, then the risk appetite could rise, which would benefit the Sterling.

I agree Kelly, the news came out as forecasted on some, and a few items were better than expected. It could fuel the fire for a little risk appetite on opening the week, maybe even gap, but I expect any gaps to close and a down trend continue to at least 149-149.50. Have a good weekend!

Can u explain why sometimes the result of USD index better than forecast will benefit GBP and sometimes GBP will get worse..?? I do not understand...
