this only hold true for daily shorts when it's consistant correlating.

gold / dow has been out of correlation since Mar.6
and E/U / dow has been out of correlaton on Mar.8
now usd / dow both rise? and even gold is rising

stock buyers early this week say it's a top for this year, now they say it's a bottom for this year
asia look at US drop then drop, US look at asia drop then drop, then dropdrop...
one...
take it with a grain of salt.. brokers trying to sell you something are the ones calling a bottom.. if they say it loud enough they may create their own reality.. but sometimes reality bites you on the ass..

Not sure why the above statement by BTL has been heavily criticised by other posters.

Certainly, some accounts yield returns greater than 20%p.a., but at least 95% of retail traders will fail to reach this milestone. And out of the remaining 5%, the vast majority of those will fail to achieve a 20% annualised return on their account over, say, a 5 year period. These are the harsh realities of forex.

Personally, I aim for a 20% annual return on my capital, which includes my investments across all asset classes - anything more than this is a very welcome bonus and something I consider a personal success.

that just self defeting higher dolor directly less demand for dolor products all currencys want to low for competivness hence choppy market.

Are Forex Free of risk? NO

You can win 11 straight months, but there will be one, that you will lose a nasty % of that you have won, if you do not limit your risk.
And if you limit your risk means that you will not be rich.

If you have a 100000USD account trading only 1% MM,, very limited risk and you win 1000 pips Monthly you can win almost 50000USD per Year.
Can you do this? I can, problem is that I do not have 100000USD.

Who broke MM rules, some day will lost!! This is Market rule number one.

For those who are interested, we are still within this pennant that I posted earlier. I have opened a long position at 3129, w/ a short order at about 3144 to close half of that trade should we continue to see a drop.

(Please note - as someone mentioned before my angled trendline may seem a bit strange. It is not meant to be a detailed "to the pip" drawing. Just a more generalized perspective, which is how I base most of my trading.)

early this week they say stock is top, they sold to -4% in a day
now they say it's bottom...

and over this weekend there is going to be some real crazy things going on I guess... before it clapse someday before end of Apr. or also possible that gov do not want stock to clapse, so bubble gets blowed bigger till bring us out of the recession.
some still got april 15 checks..if they were long term traders and got out because of last years falling market. but were possitive from longer term held stocks as in decades.. they may cash more in to pay uncle..just a thought..i really dont know..

I didn't trade this week.... because it started as a down week.... and been busy... tomorrow there will be liquidity problems and if a huge break happens and goes down then on monday there will be an excellent opportunity to start buying euros again... I guess around 1.2940. we will see...

BTL, do the maths - if you have a 100k account and limit your risk to 1% - thats $1000 per trade.

Now if you set all your stops at 100(some, psi for instance use 50) - that means that you can trade one standard contract per trade, worth $10 per pip. If u use 50 thats 2 contracts.

Now if you only make 10 pips a day thats $100 p day = $25000 per year. If you do some work around those numbers - reduce stop inrease risk(2 or maybe 3%) you begin to see much better returns, assuming of course your MM is good and you have bigger winners than losers

I would suggest that most of the 'real' traders here make a bit more that 10 pips a day and probably don't have 100k accounts.

I would also guess that they make a lot more than 25k pa.

What you are saying is that the traders here aren't making at least 10 pips a day????

Now I must admit I don't know, but I would guess that they make a lot more than 10 pips.
