The [BOE/MPC MINUTES] for the Feb meet show the vote split at 8-1, again, and with Blanchflower voting for a larger 100bp cut as he did in Jan, all as expected. Recall that at the Feb meeting the Bank cut rates by 0.5% to 1%. Details of the minutes show that Blanchflower saw the need to reach lower rates without delay. Perhaps more importantly, the MPC was unanimous (ie 9-0) on seeking govt approval for QE to buy Gilts, saying that this should boost private sector spending both directly and indirectly. Buying commercial paper, corporate bonds should boost the economy by improving liquidity in the markets. The Committee also say that it is unlikely that the CPI target would be met by just cutting interest rates, there may be a point where rate cuts hurt the economy.

I got out at 1.4100 with profit
But thought it might bounce back to 1.4134 wanted to get in a short
but didn't.
Oh now its realy going up.
Or is it still in a bear.

Abuawad or someone else, could you please explain briefly what the confirmation signal is? I thought as we had achieved the buy point, that was the signal to enter...but it seems that the short was the valid entry.

It might be in a previous post, but it's not in the PDF that I can see.

(and no drama for me, I was doing bare min lot size so I lost all of 8 bucks).
