at least the cable had more action than Euro, not in any trades at the moment, waiting for some sort of definitive movement in one direction or the other, either cable break above 9480 or below 9380 before jumping in. I could just scalp all day...seems that the best strategy for today, but why bother, I'll just tight and watch and wait and take cat naps

I decided to start making a buck out of days like this, there has been way too much... Buying dips, bear naps, small TP.

wish I had the patience for this type of market but I don't I'm too easily distracted and rather go get my nails done than wait for 5-10 pips. Hoping to get into the market during the Asian session and for some excitement. I'm thinking long cable before US news tomorrow if we don't set any new levels overnight. Not sure about the Euro yet, depends on tonight's movements.

Stay tuned to GBP news instead. Cable has moved better from GBP news (good or bad) than from US news.

I so don't like this kind of market, too. But since I've built positions expecting a good move up today, I started taking profit on the annoying stalls, what proved to be the best strategy for the day.

However, at the times I took profit, there was that bitter taste that the rocket would be launched in the minute after....

negative reverse divergence in play on the dailys of gbpjpy - with close line resistance at 231.36. Short term overbought on GBPUSD as well on daily should lead to imminent move down in GBP with negative reverse divergence on USDJPY implying strength for the yen -

Overall the trend is down - we are hitting a double top today @ 50 percent retracement from 2/23/07 with 9 sma below 45ema on price and rsi - looks like a good place to short with sl just above 231.36 and minimum price move to 221.05 - should yield a high probability play over 60% with reward to risk of minimum 4 to 1 and likely higher if overall trend is to continue - less the interest cost of carry. A move down to that 221 level will accelerate the overall trend move and we should be seeing divergence followed by reverse divergences to continue bringing us lower at that point. Took small position short already @229.50 and will look to add to it once intraday trend turns down - sl currently sitting @ 231.50.

Today is a dangerous day to be entering on daily timeframe moves to the longside for GBPUSD. Not good idea when sma3rsi3 is above the 80 level.

0904 GMT [Dow Jones] For the third consecutive session there are cable offers
waiting around 1.95, says a UK bank trader. The rate turned sharply lower from
that area Friday and topped out at 1.9475 Monday. Cable now trades at 1.9479.
