The RBS has just announced the biggest corporate loss in UK history and Barclays were down 25% on Friday before that - and the UK is dangling on the precipice


I think thats worth mentioning rather than all these silly spider lines crawling all over the charts and all the hoodoo voodoo phoney mathematical models

Forex is mostly technicals. Fundy's trigger techs but movement over 80% of time are tied to charts. That is probably why most post refer to techs

With London closing and Europe shut, I think this is a good time for me to say no more long for me from here unless I watch the Asian session, which I don't. It's been a big USD day as all the USD pairs seem to have taken a bashing today. Looks like it's not just cable getting the ol smash down today. With 2moro being Obama day it looks like we may have to wait for the US markets 2moro to see the Starry Stripy flag lowered again..

But then again it may all correct in one foul swoop of the eagle as tho it was all a dream and JR's in the shower.

Rubbish Bank from Scotland! I made a few bob shorting them some time back at 127p but they have gone from 600p a few months back to 12p today!
The UK Govt just bought a shedload of their shares cos they are so cheap.

The UK government only got involved because RBS would otherwise be insolvent. It looks like this drama will culminate in a fully nationalised Lloyds and RBS, and a partially nationalised Barclays.

Luckily for the credulous, I don't have a system to hawk on a free trial basis with a view to a future fleecing. I fly seat of the pants while watching basic techie set ups and moving averages and channels and then i blend in market sentiment. It's not an excel spreadsheet system for people with tired brains and has no formulas or fixed rules - it's basically winging it. I dont have a yacht or a penthouse suite made by forex money.

I have been a witness in a fraud trial of a guy who was going to get the French to launch his self designed satellite. He recruited me and wanted me to advertise in the financial times of london (using my cred - yes i have cred) to get loans from widows on the promise of 15% interest. Pay em back interest a year in advance with their own money - typical ponzi scheme. I exited pronto asking for no pay, and heard nothing for 5 years until i was called as a witness in his fraud trial.
He claimed a doctorate (not proffship) in coded satellite communications and worked for the CIA and the Russians at Chernobyl (he said). Actually he was a British Telecom phone wire engineer and didnt have doctorate or even a degree

My cynicism is the result of long experience - and not a negative personality

I reckon the Stoc will show itself oversold as long as there are more short traders than long traders in the market. I have seen the stoc oversold/overbought for long periods of time while price is still continuing further in that direction.

cable will rise....i am aiming for it to go to the 1.4800.....but it is definitely going up as what my 80% success trading plan says, high risk reward for this one....i only risk 30pips for this

must go south again!!
my advice is do not use anything below 15min because it can fake u out.....do long positions but not longer than 3 days.....develop a 80% trading plan with high risk reward and high probability.......when in profit, always stay in profit, do not get into a loss, let market stabilise before pushing up your stop losses

I know. He starts a bloody story but fails to finish it! Very frustrating...
internal, shorting now is too risky, u need to understand price at a higher timeframe, i could tell u everything is about price and fibs and pivots do not work!!!! i am a professional trader trading fulltime on this market and i know it all......hope to guide u guys

It was a hoot - xmas eve he was talking billions for a budget and the milkman forced his way into his office during our meeting - he couldnt pay the milk bill !

If I wasn't hindered by a concience I could have more money than bill gates - people are so jaw droppingly credulous !

How can I short USD/GBP without paying 'long' interest to the forex broker

I want to hedge my USD for eventual repatriation to the UK in GBP

When I was hedging my GBP at 2.04 to bring it to the US, I actually got paid interest on my short position
