That is a serious blow to any account. Just stick to risking what you are comfortable with losing. I would recommend 1-3% certainly no more than 5%. No matter how good a trade setup may look. Stay disciplined and your account will live to see more trading days.

good fifo - i lost 30% too and then gained back up to 85% of where it was..

I am still underwater on my current positions but hoping for nice run north

Shares and the euro differential are due for it I reckon

Thanks for sharing this (above), that is an encouragement to
all of us... Today i had lost similar & just went to the "bigger" charts,
saying "Where the heck is this going & made 100 pips, a tad above
($11 Yankee Dollars), what i had lost!

1st day trading since I posted this long on Jan 4th. Have not turned the computer on for 2 weeks!!!!!

Everything looked so simple today.....I am thinking the more u watch the charts the harder things get!

Here is how I picked up over 360 pips today trading the 5m charts.

I would like to verify if anyone else sees the Cup and Handle formations, I usually trade Head and shoulders/ Double tops or bottoms, and trying to expand on my use of other formations.

If anyone is familiar with this formation, was the retracement of the long move from 1/02/09 to 1/09/09 too much for it to be considered and cup and handle formation

my prediction this week gu will continue further upside.i started my account with usd 1000 and now already gained about 500% for the past one week.i put this amount along with my prediction for gu furter upside.after made some calculation my account will be usd 100000 if gu can reach 1.5800 (plus long pending order every 50 pips above break out resistance and 100 pip away below resistance.if the price move against me my account will be blown.last summer i did the same for gu downside and it worked .my account gained about usd 100000 instead of losing 5x(usd5000).i put this amount that i efford to lose.if i lose i will start all over again but bear in mind that i have won usd 100000.i hope the luck will be with me.

whateva u wanna call it its definately looking like a fantastic basing pattern and i hope we can ride this one for all its worth.
