My point was: My strategy is telling me that is going down but a channel was formed And now is heading towards my system limits. So a reversal could be a good explanation. But to get to the long term I prefer to go for short term targets. So 1.64 was too long.

If you use your bollinger bands on short charts 5min 10 min 15 min alot of time they will issue accurate trade signal for exit and entry in a slow market. Trade signal is only a CLEAR break above hband or below lband. A touch or lean on band usually means continuation of direction so dont get caught.

i couldn't agree with you more !!

BUT

the worst thing to happen is to be the last person holding the baby short or long when everyone else is heading for the exit .... so sometimes looking for bottoms or tops may not be such a bad idea...

i am a super newbie (less than 3 months)... probably have committed all the mistakes that you can make in forex..

looking forward to learn from experienced pros such as yourself!!

Well, I've made so much money while you were typing your post Allserene, you would not believe. In fact, I get bored trading my 99.99% system and continuously taking money fom other participant in forex. There has to be more to life than just me making obscene money in the financial markets. And I thought trading was meant to be difficult.
