above the last or second last fractal - while this depends on the circumstances on every trade - there is no definite answer, you could also trail your stop or exit at the green trendline.
when entering on a bdb you place it right at the opposite end of that bdb.

Hi Slight,

Can you please explane me why on the Chaos Theory book #1,when talking about one of the magic bullets is the MACD, be long when the 5-bar average is higher than both the 13-bar and 34-bar averages. And on the MetaTrader the Parameters are 13/ 8 / 5 , for the Alligator. Are they talking about the same indicator?
Or do i have to set on the MetaTrader the parameters for the Alligator on 5/13/34 , i am confused! Thank you.

Trading Chaos 1st edition is an older version of the methodology used by Bill Williams. I suggest you get hold of the newest edition Trading Chaos 2nd edition. There you have a complete description of the methodology, its indicators and how to use them all (including settings).

What you are talking about is another indicator, I think the MFI, which Bill Williams doesn't use anymore, as he states in his latest book.
The first book, the one you are reading, is really only good for counting Elliott Waves. The strategy you better get from the latest book. This way Metatrader indicators (Alligator, AO, Fractals) will work perfectly as you need them...

guys, am back , have read and understood bw books , made my trade and won 75 pips today.Good for me after losing som much in so few weeks.There is still something though thats stil confusing me about the fractals.A buy fractal may appear sometims whilst there is a reversal in direction , and the sell fractal might appaer after a big move and would have missed early entry.Is it correct to just get in without a fractaal showing in the direction of the trade or we MUST wait for that fraactal to appear?.

Of course the fractal is your signal.. if you just enter somewhere, don't be surprised if you are in for a bad trade. The point with this system is being able to optimize "sell high, buy low" .. and follow the trend right through to the opposite direction. Well I guess you could also enter on the AO .. but just entering like that without a fractal .. even though you are convinced this is the right direction.. I wouldnt do it.

I guess i do not have very good luke, i am not able to get the chaos secound edition book because i am from Costa Rica en Amazon do not delivers books to Costa Rica. I try some other places unsuccesfuly.
The first book i downloaded in a FDF formatt "ebook" but this one i am not able to find it.
Can you please tell me if there is a way of somehow i can get that book? Thank you.

I mean, do you always , buy or sell on a fractal, eg in this chart , at 1.43500, there is a buy fractal yet its clear that its a sell on both the AO and AC , how don you expalain it?

According to what is in the 2nd book you would have been long there, because its triggered above the red line. AO doesnt matter in this case. I dont pay any attention to AC. Personally I like to incorporate the Elliott Wave count in my trading desicions..

Nice link - it will tell you all you need to know. Just only use from the right menu the links to "Bill Williams' Alligator", "Fractal as the first market Dimension" and "Awesome Oscillator - AO" .. the rest of the links I dont know about and nothing is said about them in the 2nd book.

Does the rule of placing the stop lost one candle back with lower low (higher high) on a higher time frame still valid? when placing the first trade?

I've never heard of that rule. For stops at the beginning with a smaller account you can use the last fractal or the 2nd last fractal. You can also trail it by 5 bars.

You should really read the book. It clears all of that up and more.
There is no profit taking with this method. You ride the trend and exit at the green line or wait until you get stopped out.

I was able to find Trading Chaos 1 and New trading Dimensions on emule and I purchased Trading Chaos 2 from Amazon. All of them were worth reading. On emule I even found a video of one of Bill Williams seminars.

If you only want to read one book though, Trading Chaos 2 is the most resent and it covers some what you will find in both of his first two books.

but I think we must don't forget about our approach to the market based on chaos theory..

As we know, there are 5 dimension trading on chaos theory, one of it is trading in zone
