Hay EO...you think price action during hours when there is no data feed to your platform screws up the MA"s enough to worry about??

Yes. But I don't initiate new positions. The spread is too high on weekends. About 20-30 pips. I will close a profitable position if a major news event on the weekend may affect my position. Helps to avoid gaps against me.

HolyCrap Trading Method:

I designed a new trading method which works excellently on the wide spreads, so whenever rhe spread is too wide you can use this method.

You need the following setup:

 

  1. Moving Average value 5
  2. Moving Average value 15
  3. Moving Average value 25
  4. Moving Average value35
  5. Moving Average value45
  6. Moving Average value55

After you have setup your chart, locate the previous day close value.

And then go and sit on the fence, because it is dangerous to trade such high spreads.

I never implied that it was a good idea to trade the weekends. My message was that the ability to close a position over the weekend to avoid a news driven Sunday gap against the position was valuable.

If one was trading a 10 standard lot trade @ $1,000 per pip and had to close it on the weekend that would be a $30,000 dollar hit.

All I was saying is this stuff with brokers having floating spreads is bullshit!

Just a conspiricy of screw us retail traders!

I close my trades end of day on Friday!

My clarification wasn't directed to you but to a subsequent "tongue in cheek" post about a weekend trading system.
