hmm delayed reaction?

with all that is going on you would expect that GBP would be testing 9360 levels instead of where's it at and EURO testing 3260's too but it doesn't look like its happening in the NY session, maybe tonight we'll see those levels before heading back down.. I really shouldn't be complaining, I made off today 20-35 pips on 3 separate trades, I'm just being greedy now

There's no technicals going on across the board. People are like crazy trying to count Elliot Waves in the other thread. Simply impossible...

It's all about Stock Market, rumors, gossips.

Wanna techinicals? here it goes: we are now at B.S. wave 1, going down target unknown, but will surely be followed by an impulsive BS wave 2 up towards some place yet to be discovered. At that point place 1 lot long and 1 lot short and ride all the way sideways with BS wave 3;

[US STOCK MARKET UPDATE] The market remains broadly underwater in midday flows amid more sub-prime credit woes along with soft retail sales data. Financials are weakest among the major sectors. Energy and telecom are the long gainers. That finds the Nasdaq down 1.3%, the Dow a bit less. Bond yields are lower on the weak core retail sales but investors worry more that problems in the subprime mortgages are worsening and could broaden out. Foreclosures in the sub-prime loans are the highest since Q1 2004. Market internals show the negative breadth as down-stocks top winners by a wide margin. The only cold comfort is that volume is not that heavy yet, suggesting some selling restraint by big funds so far

Bad news is the system uses way too much resources from the computer compared to MT4. Don't know why.

ROTFL - No really- I almost soiled myself laughing. I'm not an EW guy for obvious reasons but I just wiped 8 layers of Fib lines off my chart thanks to your comment! I will no longer pretend to have a clue. Ahh...Thanks for the refreshing humor!

My day? I just didn't see pigs flying here. As I'm trading tiny lots I don't close them loosing. So I maganed to scalp a lot, but yet, making a little $. Still holding two longs here. 9346 and 9406.

The reason I opened this account was to be able to - now I need to quote this - "LET PROFITS RUN". hehehe... Would work fine in a directional market, but surely not here...

Gotta find a dealer here now... As the market is this s*** I'll try something to help me see flying pigs....

The problem is, fundamentals are often curve-fitted into what was told in news or rumours after a reaction of the market happened. Thats sounds often great but is sh*t in my opinion.

But I like to read the news you are posting. Keep on it!

I do not use stops either. Though it is risky and has bit me in the past, I have done very well letting trades run. What goes up will come down and vise versa.
Since the first of the year I have made 138 trades and have only 4 losses --
2 of which I closed by accident and three out of the 4 were on usd/jpy.
Don't trade usd/jpy anymore -- mostly gbp/usd and sometimes eur/usd
I am over 2,000 positive pips since jan 1 and most of those are full lots ($10)
I did get out of my trade last night (short from 9300) right before gbp news came out with only 4 positive pips and glad I did, but mostly I let them run.

Today I think will be slow - not much either way - later I think you'll see cable drop some (9270ish)against the dollar before going back up to 9400ish

Same here. Market is ranging for months. No reason why assuming a big down trend is under way. Only breaking 9100 with power and fundamental driven. Sometime carries will get out of the way and my long at 9406 will become a profit

In the mean time I go trading other lots

[US STOCK CLOSE] The market fell sharply, with the Nasdaq off 2.1%, the Dow somewhat less amid softer Feb retail sales data and subprime mortgage woes. That fueled fears of a broader hit to economic growth, with Tsy yields falling on safe-haven buying. The sell-off picked-up in afternoon flows on news Q4 mortgage late payments and foreclosures rose sharply across the country. Selling was broad-based among major sectors, with financials hardest-hit and some subprime lenders now priced for bankruptcy. Foreclosures in the sub-prime loans are the highest since Q1 2004. Funny how Cable is getting stretched. GJ (carry unwinding) trying to pull it down, Euro (dollar selloff) trying to pull it up.

what a wierd trading day, I'm glad I took a few hours off to enjoy the sunshine and breeze. I think tonight shall be interesting, I'm still going long overall both GBP and EUR, I also wouldn't be surprised to see Yen trading at the 115 levels either. hope you all had a good day trading and if not, then make tonight or tomorrow yours

Hey Hona, what can we do besides cursing and using some laugh here? Disgusting. I wake up today to see 9280 and is likely to go to bed at 9280.

These last 2 month are unbelievables.

- G7 rumors on Yen weakness -> carry trades mess
- Rumors of USA / Israel going nuclear on Iran to stop Iran to go nuclear -> dollar selloff (that's my favorite)
- GB no-hike + EU hike resulting in...? Dollar buyout (!!!)
- Chinese government hire fellows to "wipe" some speculators out of the stock market -> After flushing TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS they LEARNED that this FREAKING MARKET is the speculator's - (FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!)
- Worldwide stock selloff following the Chinese big discovery -> another TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS down the drain
- When everything is slowly getting back on track, freaking "NEW CENTURY" company goes "ooops, lack of cash to payback". New Century? They not going to live to see the next decade!

Everything bad enough? Not yet...

- We then discover the word: Foreclosure, followed by carry unwinding and stocks selloff.

What's next?

[COUNTRYWIDE ON SUBPRIME WOES] Countrywide's CEO is on the CNBC, talking viewers through the big mortgage lender's troubles. Among the highlights are that the problems Countrywide (and other firms in the subprime market) face have become a liquidity crisis. He says that investors and speculators are overreacting (which is what makes liquidity crises). He also warns that "It's going to get uglier." He thinks the Fed will ease if the subprime mess starts to impact the broader economy.

Looks like there are big buyers in the 9270-9280 area for quite sometime.

Central Banks, importers and my nuclear-microlots are playing hard ball on those carry sellers fu#$@ ups
