I do my accounting in GBP so I can return to the elephant's graveyard to die one day - and the bank of england is looking after enough cash to buy me a house in an area not subject to sharia law, as I prefer to get stoned on Timothy Taylor's fine ales rather than with those little pebble things

I have lost a ton of money (USD) on the American stock market (most normal people have).

I changed the GBP into USD to buy American shares at 2.04

- but when I convert the USD share value I own today into GBP - I have actually made a profit in GBP !

surreal

If I ever return to Blighty to get 100% free health care and to cure my rain and traffic jam deprivation syndrome, then I hope cable stays where it is now...

However, if I go native and stay here in this barren, lifeless, rattlesnake infested desert in the U.S., I hope we see 2.000 again so I can bring the rest of the wad over here to give to the dentist/doctor/vet/corrupt local government

Talk about confusing !

We all learn far more from our losers than our winners, so how will you learn anything when you're unaware of someone's full rationale for entering a trade that is ultimately a losing one? Do not trade from calls given on this forum.

Dude like EO and ALLsrne said youve got to make your own calls.Theyre right on the obvious ones,but youll get burnt if you follow them blindly.It taKES the caution out of the equation.Gives a false sense of security.Plus theyve made some pretty big gaffes

Do check out what they say but decide on your own.

As Infinity said, go to www.babypips.com and spend the next few weeks learning, learning and learning some more. You are asking for quick-fix solutions, and there are definitely none of those in FX. Spend time learning rather than on this forum, which will only serve as a distraction at this early stage of your trading.

Be aware that over 90% of retail traders will ultimately fail in forex. Always remember this, as it will remind you how crucial it is to become an expert in your style of trading.

hehe a few months back I was short GBPJPY on their advice. it kept going higher.the guy kept inventing new trendlines to prove himself right.Glad I got out early.only 120 pips .It went up 750.

No, stay off this thread for now, just concentrate on Babypips instead. You will learn far more there than wasting your time here.
