no emotion in trading...prozac is the answer

i generally hold long enough to get 5-15 pips average and this week have been fightning to say in the trade and when i do this i got it thats what happened yesterday..

You just need to see past profit/loss. Just concentrate on picking the right setups according to your trading plan/style and manage the trade accordingly while in the trade. You don't have to be in a trade all the time. There are people in here who are always in a trade and are making profits but surely this has taken them a lot of time and money to master.

It's a step by step game, there are no shortcuts.

cheers guys I know what you mean I'm gonna be a sucker I can tell already.

when you say you need the money from trading I think this could be part of the problem with not doing so well, if you need it you can be afraid to lose any, try and set aside £200 and trade micro like nav and say to yourself f*** it if I lose that i lose it, then just concentrate on making good entries and doing what you would do on a demo. once your good you can then put bigger lots on

Guys, I used to do a bit of meditation and if you do the breathing techniques whilst trading you can fell your heart beat decrease rapidly, don't get me wrong it is still pounding, but not like it's gonna come out of your chest. I recommend looking up on the internet how to do some basic meditation breathing it helps.

Or there's always the prozac...

do the micro trading then with a bit you are willing to lose it's the only way I reckon or you'll be shi***ng a brick everytime and get out with a loss or mess up and emotions will take over

yes absolutely that was my plan i just didnt think@7p a pip id feel these emotions....i think it all has to do with august and that loss...i was trading 0.1 lot for god sake and never got like this...

maybe confidence is knocked big time but yur right ..we have to combat this......have a good weekend guys...im off its party time enough thou i didnt make pips ...

learn some breathing over the weekend so you know what to do on Monday when you get back to the charts

try igindex they let you start with 10p or 20p a pip, I don't use them, but for this it would be good maybe

man you need to read Trading in the zone by Mark Douglas, changes your psychology alot. I rmember when i started couple years back I was in this MIRC channel and there was a guy in the chatroom who said that he lost $68000 and after reading that book he got his money back within a year and was making some great calls live. I'm not saying that this book is holy grail of some sort but it does change your perspective and teaches how to handle emotions.

your right bro I been drinking for 2 hours already, I don't like to trade the last bit on a Friday. I'm in on Friday nights now with nipper my night out is saturday so rock on the rest f the weeked
