Just because the ECB raised rates does not mean that the eurusd rate should go up. The market priced this hike in a long time ago and the statement is more dovish than hawkish. There are some market players who thought there was a chance for the MPC to hike. If it didn't that would mean things look a lot more dovish to those market players. Here buy the rumor sell the news played out perfectly, also last night when nzdusd dropped 100pips on the RBNZ hike. Forex is not A+B=C!

Don't forget about NFP, you may get a whole lot more volatility than what you bargained for. Looking at eurusd, 1.3000 is a chip shot.

I don't like NFP. It's been way to messy for all my health can handle. If NFP is going along with ADP, then we'll have a bad, bad figure...

Well, maybe not. 'cause there're geniuses that come up with a nice and comfortable "revision" just to get the market where it was few minutes before..

And with this Stock volatility, risk aversion, selloff, whatever, NO DOUBT the "good revision" rabbit will be taken out of the hat...

A bad figure would mean the eurusd should go higher but you're right, the revision rabbit may be pulled out of the hat.

We'll probably go sideways from now until tomorrow.

I've seen revisions for worse reasons (or no reason at all).

As The stock market is said to be "careful" and waiting NFP to make up the mind - bulls back - a bad NFP is a bad idea.

How harmful can a little "Cooked NFP" be?

U.S. Stocks Pare Gains; New Century Tumbles on Bankruptcy Talk

March 8 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks pared their gains as New Century Financial Corp. tumbled on speculation the subprime mortgage lender may file for bankruptcy.
Shares of New Century plunged $1.05, or 20 percent, to $4.11. Investors were speculating the company would seek protection from creditors in bankruptcy court, said Brian Horey, general partner at Aurelian Partners LP in New York.
New Century didn't issue any new statements or federal filings before the stock, which had gained as much as 8.5 percent today, began plunging at midday. Laura Oberhelman, a spokeswoman for New Century, said the company doesn't comment on speculation or market rumors.




Still holding long from 9290, expecting boost to the upside... TP in the skyes, SL 9260 for emergency or manual at a clear breach of 9280s....

I'm trusting in the carry response to another good day at the stock market, that's all... In 1.5 - 2h move must come, otherwise I'll get out... Asian session is being to crazy as to be faced with a tight stop.

I'm totally desperate right now, I can not figure out what's going to happen to cable in the next couple of days at all! :surprised
I haven't seen the price going this crazy (maaaad) since... never! Not good, definately not good. I liked gbp/usd sooo much! Please come back to us dear mother of all pairs and make us smile again by dropping thousands of pips in gorgeous waves, like the fresh breeze of the ocean...

I can barely figure out what is going on in the next hour...

Since it keeps ranging though the 23 fib (from big fall), there's no tech to trade! Never touched 38 yet...

The only "tech" I'm trading here is our friends buyers at 9280. If they loose their good mood, we're damned.
