Looking at my daily charts, it looks like there is going to be a downside tomorrow if the pound stays close to where tis at right now ( which i think it will). Its made its bounce off the top of the down trendline and now i think it will end up making a large drop within the next 3 to 4 days. This drop will be probably at least down to 1.9450 in my opinion. Any thoughts on that, or does anyone think there is a good reason NOT to trade that way so I could see a different perspective of this.

Fundamentals forecasts are overall USD-negative for the whole week. That's a good reason not to Short it & Forget it, IMHO.

If we are here compaining on lack of fundamentals to move the market, those fundamentals are good enough at least to give us 80-100 pips range days, intead of this torpid B.S.

This is gonna be the real deal... The rest will be scalping...

The ECB's [QUADEN] has maintained the Bank's hawkish line by saying interest rates do not hamper economic growth and that the Bank is in a posture of strong vigilance. That keeps the Bank on track for a Mar 8 rate hike as signalled by Trichet. He adds, though, that the Bank will assess next week new data on the prospects for inflation and growth. No details are given of what the latter involves. However, Tues" Jan M3 is likely to remain prominent in the Bank's thinking given its y/y pace running well ahead of the 4.5% y/y deemed inflationary, and may provide the major reasoning for hikes beyond Mar given that Trichet last week said market inflation expectations are in line with the Bank's thinking

Eur can drag cable on this "assess next week new data", but the rate hike is gonna be long EUR, forget Cable, don't worry, be happy.

Market running on fumes... I changed my mind as dollaryen moved up.

As 9610 seems to be holding tight and 9640 up was poorly tested today, I'm leaving a open position (long) at 9610, SL 9590 thougout the Asian session... Still to figure out a good TP intending to get it triggered before Frankfurt open, that may bring price to fresh shorts before news... 9650... 9660, maybe?

Does that sound reasonable?

If your looking at the 4 hour charts right now, the pound is giving off a weak long signal. With that I'm thinking that the market will move a little higher before a short term sell off. What do you think?

I pulled the plug at the stall in 9630 area believing that it was it and also smelling danger on the Asian session during Yen carry trades....

And missed this last spike....

Is it or isn't it a very good call for ALCOHOL???????

I know that as soon as I close my system now price will hit 2.100

Watch out for correlating currencies USD/CHF and Euro/USD
If Euro passes key resistance of 1.3190 and usdchf stays below 1.2300 we may well see 1.9676 being reached or breached before/during Asian open.

Yeah... I just went nut for missing that spike. But I know if I have kept I'd pulled the plug somewhere around the same place that I did.... Just go the feeling that it would spike even higher, and I'd never jump in a spike at that time on the risk of a sharp whipsaw....

All in all, I really want Asia to take it upper. That would be a refresh for Bulls tomorrow. I didn't like this massive stall right at that level. That would bring furious bears for tomorrow with USD-negative news in the between just to make us look like mice in the maze.

Well, we're not here because it is easy....

Today's range is 53 pips, bad, bad day.... But the actual trading range was between 9610 - 9640. 30 pips range after breaking out a downward channel...

There's something in the air that I just don't get...
