theres always the ability to wait it out and stand aside. If theres not a clear signal, why take a trade that could possibly cost you?

There are speculations that BOJ will announce the interest rate statement around 6-7am GMT.

Euro open will be very interesting, having BOE minutes at 8:30 GMT. Although a likely BOJ rate hike is being considered priced in, I'm considering having a short position on Cable by Frankfurt open, betting on drop on BOE majority voting for no hike, as expected...

Just don't want to stay out of the loop during announcements to figure out that I've missed 100 pips later

Thoughts?

If Frankfurt session points up, I'll wait for London confirmation and clearing 30pips+ from FRA open price...

price is 1.9548 if I short right here it will go up 30 pips if I go long it will drop 50 pips hope that helps

Frankfurt open @ 9536 (10 pips above yesterday).

Waiting break of 9566 to consider the long side. Y'day high 9574, also looking at it...

BOE minutes may be a mover, so I might wait for London session to go in

I am waiting for those minutes to be released before I do anything myself today. Premature entry now could cost you! Well...not just you but me, him, her, and of course henrycarol!

that's wise. But my concern is that London (BOE) may give the only opportunity for today. I don't want to spend the rest of the day looking for 10 pips here and there.

However, I'm flerting with the downside for this announcement. So I'm not jumpping in on a long position before news. But will short if price retraces to Frankfurt open

the frence CPI has decreased......its bad news for euro, but at what degree will it affect cable?

Plenty on tap today in [UK] markets with the BOE's Feb minutes and CBI's industrial trends on tap from 9.30GMT. Both are set to be focused around the likelihood of another ate hike with 5.5% the perceived end result for the UK rate cycle. Although industrial trend are expect to edged higher today to -8, the series is deep in red and is hardly likely to be aided by a hawkish interpretation of BOE policy. The minutes of the CB's Feb meet are tipped to show a 7-2 vote with Sentance and Besley thought to have opted for another 25bps hike. US and semi official European sellers have been tipped above 1.9575, but in general the Pound will likely benefit from the markets infatuation with yield, that will no doubt be reinforced by the reaction to the BOJ hike.

This is BEARISH, isn't it?

Cable Rounding off right now - however i dont see any major resistance until 9626 and 9635(in Price at least although we have hit some kind of resistance possibly in momentum). I believe price has a chance to move hard north on news announcement up to that level.
