This thing might bounce around - there's an option strike @ 1.8300 (but it's 'only' 100 million worth) for 7 am EST. I am short since some time, but if it was a larger volume strike (like 500 million) then I'd be more confident. Right now I have a trailing stop.

Long trend should be up.. BOE member Grieve just stated that inflation might have peaked - so the sterling overnight index is showing a higher chance of 25 bps cut next month. This *could* weaken sterling for now.

Why didn't he come out with this statement before my trailing stop was hit!

Edit - If the $ wasn't so bloody weak, this thing would have dropped 100 pips easy on that statement

hello all im newbie for trading forex i short @1.84600 tp @1.83900..my analysis is cabal would go downtrend target @1.83000 because cabal have strong resist @1.846 and have had tried three times to break that line but failed..

*dont follow my trading because im newbie and im sorry i cant speak english well

Hope everyone's week is starting off good!

I've played her long off the 15m 35 sma 2x now for 125 pips so far. I missed the earlier play at the beginning of the London Session because I was just too tired from this weekend. My positions are closed out and I'm looking for another bounce possibly.
Just digging in the trenches like everyone else!

I used the 10 min once and caught the bounce, but then went out and missed the next one.

I know the feeling! Just remember there's another set up coming along. Since we're also changing 4h candles, I'm looking now at the 15m 50ema for the bounce. It coincides with the 4h 5sma.

There's a possible counter trend trade setting up as well with the change of the 4h candles. It's a ballsy trade, but one could short it to the 4h 5sma.

I hve done this a couple of times, but get a sweat on and so try to avoid going both ways. I'm going through loads of deoderant!

Well it´s being a mess the FOREX trade after the movement of the markets (including the rescue of Lehman Bros by the US government) So I´m wondering what would be safer to do, if I´m managing the GBPUSD pair. I´m still new into this but getting to understand analyze and make decisions, Are there any suggestions to me? I´m looking to my screen and the Metatrader4 window and I just want to do the right move… Marcuse

Someone else might come.. and say no, It's going down. and he also has good reasons. Why? GBPUSD almost touch the 1.8967-65 resistance, and it might be a place to find plenty of sellers. Also the bullish candle didn't close above 1.8953 bearish candle open. rather closed at 1.8946

All in all..Bullish trend is not confirmed, it has to make a close above 1.8967, things are pretty much trapped within 1.8834/36 low / bottom and 1.8965/67 high / top. And only IF bears enter to take control now and push prices lower again, most likely we will break the 1.8834.

I am staying out until either side is broken.

Having a lovely day in my hotel room - those DOW shares I sold today are up 24k over friday ! the £9 internet charge for this room was worth it !

I have sold GBP too for USD as I don't trust this rabid market and I still think we might see 1.60

The UK is going to take a real beating as the financial world draws in it's horns and goes a LOT more careful

London and the Uk will be the big losers in that

Americans should not be too pleased if that happens as exporting companies will crumble under lower export sales prices and increased interest rates

Importers will go nuts again and undercut domestic workers with chinese goods

A lose/lose situation - the sky is falling for the UK and US and this ain't no blip

As long as HBOS does not go bust before november, I am fireproof and ready to day trade forex with gusto (he is the spanish guy next door)
