Boy chart overload this weekend on the thread with T/lines out the ying yang and oh the colors.

And those who really think weekend trading on a few oddball brokers really matters - how do they explain almost all Monday Far East openings are dead on or within a few pips of the previous Friday close. Exceptions being when there is news over a weekend?

I believe a well respected trader here in FF asked you to post charts a while back and he would help you with this. Have you posted any charts yet?

I'm still a bear.

If it hits 1.43 I'm wrong and flat until the market takes direction.

Therefore, I will sell when the 4 hour RSI hits 75 or reverses.

My profit taking is half at 1.4140 and half 1.4055.

Extract from a Bloomberg article:

Crude oil for October delivery fell $1.96, or 1.9 percent, to $99.22 a barrel at 11:33 a.m. on the Nymex. Futures touched $99.13, the lowest since March 25. Prices are up 25 percent from a year ago. Gasoline for October delivery fell 14.23 cents, or 5.1 percent, to $2.6273 a gallon in New York.


Looks like the fall in oil prices, coupled with the absence of any tangible resolution to Lehman's situation, could provide the perfect setup to a downside move in EUR when trading opens. I reckon there could be some carry trade unwinds on the back of risk aversion.

Do note though that Japan is closed on Monday. Hence, the movements in cross-yen could be less pronounced.

Look what I caught on tenfore:
The only explanation I have is bad data feed on the first on, the second (2 min later) may be caused on oil price fall.
Now 1.3900

Edit: now 1.41, that site (tenfore) sucks today

Guys, I am confused about different explanations I read thru the threads here on FF.

SMA200

Some say price always return to the line.

Others say, go ONLY long above and ONLY short below.

Anybody that can shine some light on this?

The drop from 1.46xx was predicated on the idea that the U.S. would recover faster than the other majors. Well that hasn't happened and it doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon. Sorry, that's all I can come up with, for short term I see upside gains for euro. I think the only thing the market priced in for the last week was a fantasy. Regardless, I'm liking the bounce off of the monthly trendline.

when the price crosses a MA from down to up is a buy signal and from up to the down side is a sell signal....

At Oanda it touched 1.4338 after opening at the same price as friday's close and is now pointing down 1.4270.

I also use GCI Trading quotes page though the source seems to be the same Tenfore site:
