Let's assume you understand MM and apply it. (Each PIP about a $1.50)

If you are really good then you can probably pull out 15-20% month.

If you average good the about 5-10% month.

If you suck then don't worry - this post won't make a damn bit of difference.

I'm making a ton of assumptions here.

Thanks for the answer. I was an equity day trader for a while. Was doing good and consistent until i was over confident and went long google on their earnings day. Lost $21,000 in few minutes, could not place a stop loss order since it was after the market. I could not do stock trading anymore since i dont have $25k anymore. I am here now because I thought that experience might help me to do something here.
Lets see.. Started a live account with MB trading.

my message?..hope you dont take this the wrong way but when learning forex...there is room for nothing else...the learning process can take months/years/forever

Sure that should be , 1000s pips retracement at some time in the congestion zone but may not happen that much , it is more short cut than the past.

ask yourself this...how many times have you repeated the same mistakes and still do it?...when you stop doing that...aka develop discipline..you can eliminate "forever"...im slowly upgrading to years hehe

Thanks for the information . i do not think he will . why he will do it ? to to allow more down without more actual down today ?
Donot think so such sucidal activity Trichet will do , just provoke people to do to get lost .
max. 50-100pips any UP can do their any action now , I hope . hold my shorts still.

More really ugly US numbers.. This bear rally can go on for some time but at this point it is no longer based on fundamentals, just trend extending on its own.

so you must be oing quite well to have quit school and your job. i found that being an engineer is going to be one of my passions, and i need to forge ahead in school. i have contemplated dropping out a few times especially when my business are going well. i just need to get through another year, and i'll be golden. anyway, so how much is profitable for you?

There are people that say it never was, most news lately have been bad for $ but the southern rally keeps going on, now think what you want, I have no idea of fundamentals but smells like old fish.

enough to not blow my account anymore...havent worked in 4 months ...wont say exact figures because some people in here make thousands per day and i cant even compare (jealousy)..its sad because i do good (get 100+pips a day easy just eur/usd) but its hard to make a fortune out of low equity...takes time...i didnt quit school though because i was doing well...i quit because i can apply my passion psiholog(psychologist) to the markets instead of wait 7+years more for a phd degree

my only weakness relating to the market is that im highly impulsive still....i see a pattern going on....clearly identify highs/lows/breakout points..yet i end up buying/selling somewhere in the middle anyways to get stopped out later instead of waiting for confirmation of a break or a bounce off resistance/support. in other words some days turn into 100+pips profit followed by 100+pips minus.

Edit:regarding a phd degree in psychology....heres a question for you....work whenever from wherever in the world..travel..home..w/e...or from an office all day helping ppl who cant be helped anyways?
