hi guys, i don't follow too much the cable, but lookin in the monthly charts, i start to think in the formation of a H&S pattern, and if it formed the second shoulder (long target around 1.92 (61.8% M fibo))

the target of this potential formation easily could be around 1.60 dollar if not break the monthly up trendline or around 1.41 dollar (23% M fibo) if finally break it.
Knowing the speed of markets this days, targets could be reached before we close and open our eyes.
What do you think? I'm crazy?

am sitting around the house on a rainy, windy sat. afternoon, with nothing to do when I should be at the NASCAR race here in Richmond, canceled due to the bad weather.

Thought I would post Friday's chart of how I traded it "in the moment".

Hope nobody thinks it is retro, I did post the short trade here while it was happening. It was a good day! +122

I would rather see this kind of analysis then all the predictions of what could happen days, weeks or months from now.

The market is unpredictable, trade what you see. Here is what I was thinking Friday and how it happened.

Oh yeah, some grumpy old Englishman questioned why any good traders would even bother to post here. Well, I am not a good trader and I can barely make a living doing this but I do pay the bills. I started posting here because it makes me a better trader and keeps me from feeling so isolated.
Sitting around the house looking at a computer screen gets lonely. I can open up this thread and Boom..........kindred spirits!!!!!!!!!!!

Note: If you notice the candals looking different then yours..... I use Heikin-Ashi candals.

I have nearly the same drawing for some time Theres a possible huge support on the monthly @ ~ 1.71600 / My short target - low of 2005 @ 1.70500 (from monthly macd divergence, i already explained in my previous posts). It will take some time to build the RS (right shoulder) but if it becomes a real H&S formation it will be a damn nice textbook like pattern. Im looking forward to play this beautifull pattern hehehehe. On Monthly we have a huge triangle that was born back in the 80's. Knowing a 2/3 and 3/4 rule by J.J.Murphy on TA that defines the breakout time of the formation from birth till vertex, i calculated that we still have minimum +3 years untill this huge monthly triangle will break to aither side. So breaking monthly ltl or utl of the triangle in the near future is likely too soon to happen, but hey this is forex, anything can happen

My opinion, cable will continue to fall down again.
We will see 1.6000 by end of this month! or maybe end of October!

Also the Oil price will fall to $95-96 / barrel

Personally, I think you are probably the best trader who uses this forum, as you have managed, totally against the odds, to profit from longside positions in cable, at a time when the pair has endured the steepest and most vicious falls in over 15 years.

You obviously do know exactly what you are doing. It takes real skill to spot the very brief buying opportunities in the midst of a selling tsunami, but just think what you could have achieved if you actually thought to use your fundamental and technical expertise to pick out the obvious sell signals in addition to the buy signals that you amazingly spotted???

Jobless rate at US showed that the steep decline is not natural, as the US and dollar seems to suffer from recession as much as UK does. This week the market may fluctuate a lot. I do not expect cable to fall or rise in a considerable amount. Above all, I still feel that we are on the way to south.

Dude you can't draw a channel like that,
First of all the lower line og the channel isn't actual, because you need lows and you have just one
And the second is that the price poke the higher line once,

I like long frame averages which are great in getting the big picture and get more inaccurate as you zoom in.

My sergeant used to say that if you have one foot in the fire and one foot in the fridge - then on average you are comfortable.

He also used to say that if men had chubbies on their backs, then they would be perfect - but I haven't investigated that

But I like this 'stand back' or overview approach - it can make good money and inform good s/l and t/p points without without sweating the 'noise'

I reckon some people register on here with 2 names and then follow up their every post with acclamation from their imaginary friend using the second name - is that too conspiratorial ?

I was amazed when a certain poster claimed he was in the Bahamas and making incredible profits - only to be told he was a fantasist and lived in a wheelie bin in Ohio, and logged on wirelessly through the Starbucks next door

There is a lot of very good comment and analysis on here interspersed with triumphalist stuff which is obviously one-off shots of luck or downright deception. After 3 or 4 such posts it's as obvious that they are fake, as it is obvious that I am frequently grumpy at the moment. My grumpiness is temporary but my Englishness and advancing age are permanent.

Come to think of it, advancing age is something I share with every trader
