looks like the same deal as yesterday once it krept thru 7800 it must have filled a ton or orders

anyway closed 2 short positions +98 and +104 holding one short from 7833
will close last short if it hangs up here

This is Fed's intervention. There's no other explanation for the continued dollar strength. I don't care what your style is - TA, fundies - doesn't matter how you spin it, 2300 pips in 6 weeks is insanity.

it isnt the first or the largest move like this that cable has made tho, in fact if you look back on the monthly chart it is clear that cable has corrected in this manner every time it reached about 2.0

yes i sniff a bounce somewhere but I have no idea where it is - 1.72 ?

Not sure what you're getting at - that the U.S. economy gets it hopes up in election years? DJIA has balooned over the years, election or not. And okay, so U.K. is in a bad shape - but what about everything else vs. $ - oil, gold, euro, loonie? What do you make of these 100 pip drops in a matter of minutes - doesn't it look like someone's pulling the plug? There's no rational basis for this pace of dollar appreciation, it's another bubble just like oil 2 months ago. When the intervention participants start unwinding their dollar positions, I really wouldn't want to be long on this overpriced currency.

Mr. Micho I also closed my short and same last day free fall happened in I think within 30 minutes between 12:00 am - 12:30 am eastern time that I also missed and away from the computer...

I think this is just missing a boat, we can get another boat in few hours. All you have to do put a sell order for break at 1.7780 (Sell at high) and that is what I will do and go to good night sleep.......

Not quite true. Cable has straddled 2.0 for a couple of years without any major corrections until now. This one is unprecendented, though - I don't see anything like this since at least early nineties, but back then the FX market was much smaller anyway.
