It will be interesting to see if the bottom holds. We haven't had a fair test of it, but we might not either. Now I'm looking for it to make a higher high than yesterday's high of 1.872x. I would expect some pullback from here to around 1.866x and possible down further. We would see turbulance around 1.857x which could stop it from going any lower, this would confirm long is strong to go back up above the 1.872x area. Right now, I'm seeing convergance on my 4 hour chart I wish I could post it, but I'm at the office and as you know I can't post charts from here. Once I get the kids to bed tonight, I'll get some charts posted. Plus there will have been more time for things to develop.

I'm not useful when it comes to Fibs. I find too many variables from how they are used being time frames and how far back one goes. I need to learn more about their application.

Well, the way I see things right now is as follows;

The overall trend is down, so you are in a counter-trend trade.
They can be profitable, but are much riskier than trading with the trend.
Of course, the previous low could be a bottom and you are catching things at the beginning of a reversal. I don't think that is correct, that is just my opinion.
When I trade against the trend, I look for quick profits (10-20) pips and then re-evaluate.
What is your exit strategy?

Any of you Brits have any insight into what the MPC meeting minutes might be tomorrow morning.

I think consensus is 7 to 2 to hold rates.

I am expecting them to come out more doveish then that.

Ultimately that is what should determine direction tomorrow.

Any comments would be helpful!!!

I think am expecting 6-3 because I read in FXCM Sterling outlook section that this time 3 voting for rate cuts and 6 are holding so I guess last time 7-1-1 because 1 voting for rate cut, 1 voting for rate hike and 7 voting for hold and the price hit on the upward direction for 150+ pips. This time due to several UK housing and infation issues I think 3 members are voted for rate cuts and if that is a FACT then I assume Cable would be far below then current price by tommorow London Fix hour on Wednesday......

Trouble with the uk economy is that it is very inflation prone and there is a limit to how much BOE can let it rip - can't see em cutting rates because .25% off rates won't help this housing market

Just my thoughts having been there and watched in since 1964 - and having just looked at houses in north yorkshire - a rabbit hutch of a house with garage too tiny for a car is still $600k
