it is pushing it down but cant understand the relation of swiss news to cable

any ideas?

the relation is between swissey and euros only both r in an opposite direction and swissey is affected by gold

Possible bullish flag on 1hr, just below resistance @ ~.9948. Lets see if the price breaks out of this descending 4hr channel (possible bull flag) thru this 1hr flag.

She should go back up to test the UTL on the descending channel, then go back down to the LTL of the ascending channel. That might be the range for today. Just a thought.

Financial woes economic jitters and further dollar losses is what we once more see fueled by the IMF!!!



Same old story with a different narrator this time, jitters are once again rapping financials and casting darker shadows over the future of the U.S economy. The trigger was yesterday's IMF gloomy report, as they see no end in sight for the housing recession in the U.S which to them is the hurdle that will stand in the way of improvement in the economy and as well shall prevent financial markets stability. That was just what markets needed, though the rescue bill is in its final stages to become law as Bush is expected to sign in this week yet still the IMF underplayed the status of the two GSE's as they see that their conditions are tight and fragile so will the government intervention just add to the economy's ongoing misery or will is stop the contagion from spreading!


The focus today continues on the beleaguered sector as the degradation is expected to prevail. According to median estimate in the year to May house prices as measured by S&P CaseShiller Composite-20 index have dropped 16.0% after falling 15.3% the previous month. As far as house prices are falling, foreclosures are on the rise and lenders are under strains the market is surely far off from welcoming new buyers especially as liquidity remains a concern and is not as cheap nowadays to provide as before and Americans pay the price for the mistakes their officials committed in sponsoring the bubble till it burst splashing the globe!

The IMF still sees losses and writedowns resulting from the subprime market collapse in the U.S to mount to $1 trillion, and already in the past year losses endured for financial institutions totaled $469 billion and the count in on the rise. With skepticism and aversion in the markets financials are also troubled to raise capital as their equity prices are falling and it's much more expensive to result to debt as spreads are widening despite the low benchmark the risk premium is surely rising as investors now expect higher compensation for the risk they are bearing.

So where will the heading be and when are we to sense the bottom, officials are working at arms length to support the financial sector, while the Feds are aiming to restore stability in the financial sector, yet unfortunately they are facing the inflationary beast as monetary policy is not such a lucrative tool to utilize anymore. Oil fell more than $20 off its peak yet starting to take the bullish trend once more as geopolitical tension is one thing economics and financial stability has no access to reach!

So what will it be this week dear reader, still major data are on the queue and though the GDP is expected to come with a surprise to all, yet still the labor report will beg to differ that the state of the economy is still as helpless as a baby in the cradle, Americans lose their jobs, their wealth and their confidence as today we are to be assured of their resenting sentiment to the economy expected to fall to 50.0 from 50.4 in June and no one can blame them. Just they are now the missing links in the broken chain as they 2/3 of account in the GDP by their consumption is well needed to support domestic growth, and we are to see whether they are to withhold the pattern as rebates effect abide for surely I see the great American economy is surely INCAPABLE of rising to its glory once more on exports DEPENDENCY!!!
