Was a risky countertrend trade, did you take it? Theres a nice descending channel, but ive entered too late not from the LTL and decided to close @ b/e, because thats a very risky trade on this retracement. Anyway if it goes up ill just short from the top or if it breaks the LTL then we go from there :-)

edit: but i see Oil bounced from descending wedge's LTL and its pulling EU up but still undecided...

this is my view.

noob question: i don't know if technical analysis tools such as fibs, supports and resistances, etc. work also in commodities but i have found them handy until now =/..

Why was it a risky countertrend trade?
LoL they make you believe its going long then they hold , push some buttons and robb you going short !

Oil just hit a new low today from odl charts

Yes they do work in commodities...

I'm pleased to see that some of you starting to look more and more at a total economical picture and base your decisions and trades upon..

Mark my words..the more you understand the larger picture of the market...the more it will benefit your future trading results

I have an edge in the market and when there is a trade setup I define the risk and put the trade on and let it work. I know that if I am patient, persistent and disciplined my edge will play out very well.
Hmm...

1.573 seems to hold for now, ranging between 1.573 - 1576 till DJI open & crude oil inventories at 3.35pm (GMT) is my expectation...

Time for some lunch, bit of sunshine & a dip in the pool....

Hi, I didn't take the short, I just don't feel comfortable shorting euro and oil.
We had a retrace of 200+pips a few weeks ago on e/u, and that was the best entry of the month for a long of 300+pips.
I'm trading less as it is summer and even if I don't take vacation from trading this year I'm taking it easy and waiting for good prices. In the last few weeks it worked well for me, made pips buying euro and oil, and watched on the side waiting for a dip to buy again. I'm only in e/u long now, oil is a scary beast, even if inventory news today could shake up a few charts. If I get stopped out around 670 I will look for another entry long. Even thought this pair is ranging from 1.5400 to 1.5800 I still feel safer only buying dips.
I'm shorting all those rallies.. We'll definitely gonna see 1.5350

Just believe me.. It's just a retracement or manupulation by BIG boys.. Stay safe ..short it short

Ive been shorting this pair.. but Im not sure where the bottom will be.. so Im just gonna wait.. any other suggestion..? Im not sure its going lower than 5680

It might be 5500, maybe even back to 5300, who the hell knows. But these past few days, I've been a bear.
