i dont know bro my charts with fundamentlas were pointing to a close today above 9800 but u know cable
it jumped 90 pips and then dropped them
im not sure wat is going on, because the drop showed signs of strong bearish sentiment even though those numbers out from UK suggest no rate cuts for a while and furthermore suggest a possible rate hike.

trouble with a rate hike is that is will in fact cause a recession, UK economy led by the retail consumer, traditionally when rates are raised to control high growth demand led high prices, the current situation is somewhat differernt, growth prospects are declining and inflation rising = Stagflation.

Can MPC control the inflation rate? Has the sterling deprection across the board contributed to higher inflation? (not just against dollar but euro)

Hike also be very polictially bad for Gordon Brown, not particulary a bad thing because there are excesses that need working out. Therefore sterling outlook fundamentally stuck between a rock and hard place! Hence this crappy range for last five months!

i totally agree stagflation is a bi***but trichet is going with it and from the looks of it UK is the country suffering most if theyre not gonna hike rates they should at least stop talking about this imaginary 2.0 inflation target.

anyway it doesnt matter to me i just want a freaking direction.
till then im happy making a couple of pips here and ther on silver.(quite easier than this)

Trend in tact and the gap will close me thinks.From there well thats where it gets intresting.
Even though I was expecting it was just to busy to trade and I would not enter here.

Trichet in diff position from UK MPC, growth in germany is good, there exports are still good!! (but the rest of eu suffering!!) They have want to maintain their creditably in delivering price stabilty even though ECB always misses their target, i think MPC and Tresury lost all creditabilty with the Northern Rock saga. difficult times ahead economically, anyone read that new Soros book, good read.
