Possibly if it breaks through. I'm expecting it to bounce off. With UK closed for May Day there may not be enough strength to push through.

I've gone short with a tightish s/l.

That upper trend line is at 515 now together with the hourly 100 ema, plus it hasn't crossed 55 yet.. so far I see no real reason to believe it's more than just a retrace (and my sl is at 5536 as planned)..

15499 was also a 50% retracement from the downward move starting on 1 May.

15532 is a 61.8 retracement.

I've got my s/l at 15540.

Not that fast. I think it's mean that we need to be carefull.
EU is struggling with its resistant and it might bounce now, so better not to clse your trades. Just watch. For me it's mor like end of retracement

Anyone else use IG? My opening position was 15493. When I reached 15480 I brought forward my s/l to break even. It went back up to 15487.5 and IG closed my trade at 15493.

This is the first time they've done this.

Not happy now it's around 15475.

That's terrible!! You definitely need to raise an issue with this.

Andy, I use them all the time and find them very approachable if a mistake has been made. Give them a call and they will check to see if any print was made at the figure you were closed at, if you're right (which I think you are) they will rectify. Hope you get it sorted.

I use IG - I think they must be asleep today. They didn't honour my sl. Then about 20 mins later on way back up they took me out.

I've sent them a message. If they did make a mistake there's no reason why they shouldn't reopen it as it's about 15-20 pips open from the opening position.

Market's probably gonna wait for ISM ranging above 545, if it follows the tradition of the recent US news should be a good trigger for a nice drop..

They've just re-opened the position. Very quick response! Great customer service. Well done IG!

Although the price looks like it might be trying to push itself back up!

Are you expecting the news to be good or bad? How do u predict the price action before and after the news? Are you basing this on past experience?

I usually open a tiny trade some minutes before news, and not every time.
At this time I have already two short trades opened at 1.5447 and 1.5470.
I am waiting to see price around 1.5430 to close one.
My RSI TF15 at 44.5 was not crossed some minutes ago, let's see if price go back to 1.5450 again next 60 minutes, if crossed then 1.5410/1.5416 is next stop.
If not crossed until next 60 Minutes I will close my shorts.
There is the possibility will see 1.55 again today.
