Can this EA recover after a PC crash or an MT4 shutdown to where once MT4 is up and running again the EA will know where it left off and what order it was working on? I know DGC has created such an EA (OxFX Manager v3.1.mq4) along with invisible stoploss management so that the broker does not see it. That's for those that worry about brokers possibly hunting stoploss/trailingstop positions...

I have never used an EA before. I copied your EA onto experts directory restarted MT4 and I see it listed under strategy tester.

I selected it and selected 30 min chart and open price options and ran it for jan 2007 to Dec 2007. The report tab showed $3000 loss by the end of the year with a starting capital of 10000

Obviously I am doing something not right. Could someone point to any post that would educate on how to deploy and use an EA.

Is this what you are suppose to do when you want to use an EA to automatically place an order whenever a new candle opens above or below the SMA line.

I did set the properties exactly as you pointed out and I put dates 1/1/07 to 12/28/07.

Attached is the report I got. Not sure why.

I am in east coast and I am done for the day now.

PL. don't misunderstand. My intent is not to poke holes. Just wanted to try it out myself.
