Dislikedresults at one point are more than astounding but if you would lets say start backtest at begining of 2007 at one point you lose 85% of your funds (lets say start funds are 10.000, because with less you would lose 100%)
would you risk so much?? who wouldnt stop EA at loss of 70-80% of their acc??
well anyway everyone choses his own risks, but at my opinion someone with small acc shouldnt use this EA as his or hers chances are too big to get wastedIgnored
DislikedThe PDF at the bottom is a report for the year of 2006. I had to increase the starting deposit to $10,000 and reduce the MaxRisk to .01 in order to make it out of the first couple of months. I hope someone else will show their backtesting results for 2006. I did not get near as many trades as expected.
Here are a couple of images of a back test starting July1st, 2004 - February 29th, 2008. I used the same settings as stated above. The good news was the EA did not go broke after three and a half years. 2005 was not a good year.

Given the problems with MetaTrader backtesting, I hope some other people will post results. Even at 90% modeling quality it is hard to put much faith in my results.Ignored

DislikedHi Aad,
You have a great looking indicator on your chart with , it looks like multiple stochastic settings. What is the thick gold line , and the white line? Would you mind posting that indicator to download. Thank you very much for your explanation and time......T-WolfIgnored
DislikedOk, if its from the first thread, then yes, I think you might have something wrong. I posted somewhere on this thread about some computers having an updated version of the MT4. It only goes as far back as so many months. Please anyone Backtesting, If you are coming our with different, but I mean very different results, check the first trade made and check the date.Ignored
DislikedHi Jr, I am sorry. I mean the EA in post #1 on this thread does not have the same settings as the settings in post #33 on this thread. which one are the correct settings? if post #33 has the correct settings, how to change the EA with that settings? cause I have tried several times to change it, but it could not be changed. Thank you. sorry for my bad english and misunderstanding.Ignored
DislikedHi T-Wolf,
I got it from Spuds Stochastic Thread Theory page:
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=37111
The white line is a Stoch (5,3,3) and the gold is a Stoch (14,3,3). Basically when all Stochs line up and all you see is the gold line it presents a very strong signal for up/down. I added OzFx's AC/AO and the white (5,3,3) Stoch for an agreement toward good entries.
Thus I have modified Spuds indicator and added a few things to it (I changed it from a simple to exponential MA's) so it's currently an experiment and a cross breed between OzFx & Spuds Stochastic Threads. So I can't vouch for it at this time as I'm still learning more about Spuds Stochastic Thread theory...

DislikedThanks for sharing your system. It looks awsome. I'm definitely gonna try it and will share my results on this forum. In the mean time i have a question can you post a template for the indicators u use for trend determination. I've seen the chart but could not make out what settings and indicators are used. A template file can help.Ignored

Hey there Aad,
Thanks for taking the time to explain and post your indicators. It's just what I was looking for to show me extreme overbought and oversold areas. Having your stochastic and MA's modified to exponential works perfectly for my purpose. It's a fantastic compliment to the other indicators I'm using in my own strategy I've been developing.
Soon I will be starting a new thread with my strategy and with your permission I'd like to give you credit on that thread for your multi stochastics indicator! This 39/39 Hi - Lo looks really promising and I wish you and all the others much success with it.
Thanks again and all the best with your trading.....T-WolfIgnored
