hey AmeriTrini i need to ask u a question because u look the most experienced at the moment.

i am looking at pound against all currencies and i c it only rising against usd and jpy.

my point is do u advice me to take such points into consideration?

I sent an email to my currency broker saying I wanted to sell 100k GBP and buy USD (real not forex) if it hit 1.975

my wife was on the phone to her mother so he could not call me so he emailed me but i was doing my insane US taxes including overseas earnings and overseas passive income and its HUGE - turbo tax is total crap at doing overseas stuff - so I didnt pick my emails up

Now i look at the screen and whoa ! shorting at 1.9871 to hedge at that level until uk time tomorrow when I can sell my gbp - it might go to 2.00 but a bird in the bush is worth 2 in the disco

This is my opinion; look at the GBP/JPY to guage where the GBP/USD is going, they have a almost have a 90% intraday positive correlation. I only trade the cable, I think that there is no need to trade anything else, the cable will give me all that I need, and then some more!!

GJ is affected by GU and UJ

GU broke out of the daily downward channel to the upside, and since then it's been going UP.

It's simple.

oh i just checked it ur right about GU braking the channel
but i mean in terms of intraday trading it looks like they have similar movements.
plus looks like GJ is about to brake channel and head upwards.

On the contrary, The Sun hits Asia before it hits Europe(therefore movements occur in the GBP/JPY pair before they happen in the cable). GBP/JPY is the primer for GBP/USD.
