I agree, the £ has bottomed at 1.9480 and the trend is up - just look at the 4 hr. chart to confirm that.

what i think will happen is the price will go up hit the retracement window which is at the 61% mark and head south...

jeez I was with you till you said BOS - they lost 61k usd of my money for 4 weeks and denied they had it - they just paid me 4k compo as it turns out they changed it to gbp at 2.065 without asking and wanted me to buy usd back at 1.97

unfortunately I think they are right on usd - now thats what i call unemotional !

most people would be vindictive - but i am closing my account with them so it shows i am human after all

Due to Bernanke speech, Cable can't break 1.9800. DOW -306.05. n It's Friday. Agree with u, Cable will drop hard today.... just my opinion.....

It is a sad know that.. You had to prosecute the bank.. 61k is much money.. I only read in the DJ that they bought a big quantity of £ at 1.9625.. And when the banks buy big amounts many people also buy..

cable will drop for sure...that retracement to me is enough to suggest its going to drop..

its definetely down.....actually it went up and bounced from a a major resistance point...i wish i saw then what i see now...100 later oh well

if u study the charts u will see for yourself £ gonna go down from here

Usually if the DOW -, cable will drop hard or down 100 pips. i have been seen this correlation over 6 months. Lots of resistance @ 1.98xx, look at Rogue$trader chart before. Just my opinion, maybe i'm wrong..

I watched the bernankespanke speech..

He said it was a big old mess and they would have to cut taxes very quickly and interest rates too and it was a horrible and spectacular situation and uniquely bad - he didnt use those words of course..that was what he said though

He did not say recession - he said small growth - so anyone who thinks he was positive must be hanging their hats on that. He couldnt say recession though could he ? or he would cause it ! So discount that.

all the rest of it was doom and gloom big style

I am sat in a rented apartment waiting for florida house prices to fall even more before i buy and I was wildly encouraged - but why everyone else thought it was upbeat i don't know...

what has happened to the the US in the last few months to cause this come back for the usd ? the US has a billion problems and the uk has a couple

nope its fishy.. i am not buying dollars which is what shorting the gbp is...

if the £ fall below ...1.9670 i think it going to fall ..this is because that area is heavy resistant point but not as heavy as up north..hence down we go

but then again im on demo and mouth is wide

23:22 GBP/USD: GBP Changes Role From Stumble-Bum To Star Sydney, January 18: After weeks of taking a beating against virtually every currency, the GBP has emerged as one of the better performing currencies this week. The GBP picked up close to 0.5% against the EUR yesterday after gaining 1% the day before. The GBP and the JPY were the only currencies to make ground against the USD yesterday and the GBP/USD broke above the 20-day MA at 1.9740 yesterday for only the second time since November 29.
There was talk during the London session that at least a good chunk of the EUR/GBP selling was related to reports that Carlsberg-Heineken will takeover Scottish and Newcastle for around 10 BLN EUR. The GBP/USD trades 1.9715/20 and the EUR/GBP trades 0.7423/26.
