I think the tendency to overtrade comes out of the fear that there isn't enough opportunities, but there's plenty when you're not taking losses, and making regular pips, perhaps with other currencies as well.

Even more than that, you don't want to start thinking of yourself as a "loser". The best way to do that is to avoid useless trades, so when the right ones come along, you'll have the appropriate confidence!
Having said all this, I've made around 40 pips tonight, just by fooling around on "predictability", which can also be cool .... until that predictability is broken...........AHHHH!!!!

Man, it is truly doddling right now, right at the end of it's inspiration.

It's a fact that a few minutes ago, New Yorkers go out to lunch, and I believe that the market doesn't get any spunk again until about 1, after they come back.

Well, I think I'm done, although I'd like to see some more before the week ends.

hi everyone i trade in covered warrants at sg warrants told me it expired at 11 am uk time (6am est) today. they quoted a final price of which i think is wrong and therefore cutting short my profit by over 5000 pounds!. can you all check and post what the price for gbp/usd was at 11 am uk time (5 am by the timing on this forum). i get 19844. your help appreciated and hope to hear more and post more in the new year.

FXCM shows a spread of say 3.6 for a nanosecond and by the time you click (2 nanoseconds) it is up to 5.7 or something stupid

It's what my dad called 'sharp practise' and what I call con men

Take a look at ODL Securities. Fixed 2 pip spread on all majors and I have been VERY happy about execution, even during news.

did not have any problems till now.. except spread can be big , but for me the most important is fast executions which I can say they are fast

......... there is some more to the downside. Valleys and small Hills until it desides which direction. But I expect most of 2008 to be a bit lower overall. IMO
