pound is definitely due for a retrace. macd on daily as well as 4 hour in oversold range. macd on 1 hour heading back towards the water line. if gbp data comes in hot could easily retrace to 9927 or 9991, the latter being a 23.6 fibo of the failure high from 12/12 to todays low. if US data comes in weak, could easily get back to 2 bucks +. imho

first, i should not make any long call if my 20 wma still not crossed 30 sma at tf H1. Any bounce, i should execute sell on top. 9820 is the fibo line.

anyhow., im just newbie, trying to implement what i have learnt ...hehehe..and whatever result either cable go up or down..is not u or me are right..but Mr. Market is always right.

Moe you are a professional trader. I am trying to set realistic targets for myself but not sure what is realistic. How many pips can/should an average trader make per day. I want to aim for 50pips per day is that realistic or not? I have only been trading from May this year and now averaging 20-30 pips per day. Is 50 realistic for average trader to aim for?

I don't think you should aim for a particular ammount of pips.

Let's say you are 66 % sure to make 100 pips. You take a position 1 lot, let's say.

Let's say you are 95% sure to make 10 pips. You could take much bigger lot, for smaller pips!

I was taught that a realistic goal is 5-15 pips/day. If you can achieve that, and increase your lots traded accordingly, then you are on your way. If you say you "average" (including losses?) 20-30/day, I'd like to know your system, especially since you're a newbie. If you're doing this on a demo account, it really isn't the same, because you can hold those trades with no fear of losses.

Look what's happening right now. We're getting a 20 pip drop, yet I think you said that you're looking to make a 50 pip gain tonight.

I see that as a way to get some serious money management problems happening. That strategy will only work if those guesses are right all/most of the time. Even worse, if they are right a lot of the time, then you will learn to depend on it when it fails, and down goes your account, big time. "BEEN THERE, DONE THAT"

However, on the same topic, I think it's more worthwhile to size up the market on a daily basis. Tonight for instance may not be the best to trade -- we'll see. Having the discipline to just say out will save you a lot, and then make sure you trade on those good nights. Heck, I've traded "blind" some nights, and others I couldn't make a profit no matter how many hours I stuck to it!

Only trade live account, demo account not the same. I can only trade about 3 days a week as it is not my full time job so I only trede when all indicaters are perfect. average includes losses. I trade with very tight S/L which has also cost me good trades but I am learning....
