short after the news because they will only cut by 1/4 point!!!!......seen as bullish for the dollar because the converse would be to cut by 1/2 a point. this will also probably be seen as the end of the easing cycle for the FED and the BoE will just starting theirs..............just my opinion..........

But considering fundamental economics, isn't the huge deficit, rampant spending, FED M3 rating, loans from China, costly war.. all in all, pointing towards an eviscerated USD in the long term?

There are even those analysts (some of whom represent the Federal Reserve) who have predicted a risk of Hyperinflation within the next 10-15 years.

and hyperinflation is bullish for the us dollar!!! interest rates will go up!!!

that would the final stochade to destroy american economy.

what i think the fed should start doing is keeping the low but steady devaluation of the dollar and make americans spend less to avoid inflation.
or by name, live in their means and not beyond.

the progressive shift between imports to exports. maybe america can start a new cycle. but if keep the current imports levels. america is doomed.

Maybe you purposefully are saying the opposite of what's true to us?

inflation means that the currency is devalued.
hyperinflation is such a powerful force that no amount of federal regulation can stop it.

when Germany had the hyperinflation from 1917 to 1921, people couldn't buy a roll of bread unless they had a wheelbarrow filled with money.
yea, the money even got so worthless that it was more worth using to keep you warm by burning it.
Hitler had the hyperinflation to thank for making the people so desperate.

im not for raising interest rates, but i was just commenting on what the guy before me said about hyperinflation.

my recommendatio is wait and relax. so far gbp steam seems to be slowing.
we have uk trade balance in few hours, i am sure this currency is going to overreact cause the mixed uk expectactions.

my forecast is if data dissapoints, this currency could go really down about 2.0300 - 2.0355. if its pretty good a rally above 2.0550 is possible.

anyway, wait.

I see a nice pennant forming, indicating a possible upward explosion very shortly....

just kidding, it has room to go up but the next gbp news is gonna decide the fate of this currency for the short-mid term.

also fed rate cut decition, if the man cut 50points, thats a huge strong buy gbp signal for a crazy rally.

in 1HR Chart, we have the pretty widely used 231 EMA Coming just above the price. i hope its just not coincidence.

i can not agree more. this is the situation for now. technically probably fundamentally too. but....

if fed cut 50basis points. this can explode to the upside for the rate differentials.

in the worst case, fed does not cut any rate. i am shorting this thing for about 2.0100.
