Yes, but if you're secure enough you can also cut your losses when you know it's going to infact be a loss.

Up 2 you. You can continue long with tight stoploss or close the position if you're not confidence.

The resistance already broken before the NFP.

i sense that GU will open GAP UP on monday..the force seems very strong in GU.....

what happened last week with cable was dishonest, disrespectful and manipulative.

is there still some explanation of what happened with the rate cut last thursday?
the rate cut was priced. also the public didnt know.
rate cut came still nothing happened. just shy traders putting sell orders and impacting little the currency, then up.
and still most analyst predicted boe would hold onto january but the noble and loyal pigs already knew the rate cut was coming so they made party flying away in mass from gbp.

this currency surely can go up the next couple of days to 2.0300 - 2.0600, something like a dead bounce from 2.1000 but then the posibility of downside is big. and very probably get out of 2006 long term trend.

sad the thing that the most richest people in london was informed of the rate cut, still they kept silent to screw general people.

i am sick of you boe cows!.

That's true. Not only the rich people in London know about the interest rate also all the banks in this world knows it. From my technical analysis the highest cable can go up only somewhere 300-600 level. There is still more space for cable to drop downside. Anyway... Trade smart

Hi guys,

this is my first post,

I'm kinda new to Forex, I'm more used to trading stock market futures.

Anyway, I hope I can contribute with my view on GBP/USD, I shorted it at 2.0627 but cashed in too early at 2.0580 so I could go long on oil, which was not a bad trade off at all.

Now I'm short the EURJPY at 163.4 and long the GBPUSD at 2.0272.

I guess that if the FED cuts the rate by 0,5%, the GBPUSD may rally, because rate differentials would go higher. I might take profit around the 2.05 level though.

whether fed will cut rate or not , the GU price will show it on Monday... nowadays, price will change first before news... what price u get during news is too late already.

let hope this pair keep going up, london stocks are outpacing usd. thats good for gbp.
in the negative side. COT statements are showing big interest in shorting gu. positive sde again is options dont expire till 2 weeks, so not a lot of probably down movement till that time.

for short term, lets hope we dont get a double top in 2.0346, it brokes through resistance and in my humble opinion we are headed for 2.0500 - 2.0600, then the downside is very probable.
