Contacts report that the 120 barrier in place in [USD/JPY] is huge, with one US investment bank alone having 3 yards of Dollars to sell ahead of there in defense. While a 119.50 barrier has been tripped in the Usd's post-ISM surge, a far east Asian central bank is reported to have been a seller after the move, tempering the subsequent stops fuelled extension to the gains.

my software shows volume of trades along with buying and selling pressure. clutters up the chart sometimes, but you can see if a move is strong if there is volume or not.

I just think I should wait... I always lose when I jump the gun... I practically always lose anyways !!! No need to up the chances... If I short, you guys all better go long !!!

I know fixme1too knows what he's talking about... and I know he has said in the last week or so to be looking DOWN towards 1.9300

He is probably right !!!

I HAVE to find a way to make pips this year... can't be blowin it already !!!

May be wise to hold off until FOMC minutes. I too have heard they are expected to be hawkish. Anyway thanks for all the good insight that comes out of this thread, I have been watching it for a few weeks, nice work to all.

Couple of points here. Make of it what you will. The move today has so far stopped at a weekly support and also a significant trend line I have been playing off of (as both support and resistance). This trend line originates in Sept. 2005 so it is very well established. If the news pushes down through both of these I would think we will see low 9300's before we work our way back up. I alluded to this possibility in my post yesterday afternoon. I am currently flat awaiting the reaction to the FOMC statement. If reaction is minimal I will probably not re-enter until I see European action tonight. A great day so far. Don't mess it up with a risky trade !!

so that means we should have a continued fall of the pound maybe to the 161 fib in the 93 range??? that would be nice!! as for the yen, does this mean there will be continued increased strength in the dollar and make the price go up, or will the 120 barrier be too strong??

Hey tiki also we may be in a mini 3 wave of this BIG C wave down so it if this is the case just watch out for a possible whip saw up to 38 to 50% of the last major wave we had to the point we are at now you would see this on the hour chart. I am not saying we will get a whip saw but alot of times when we do this is what happens.

I am not sure where you got the trend line you talk about... but the low 1.9300s is also about where the 62 ema line is on my FX Charts which is a place I expect it all to go long again...

And if anyone else uses 5-13-62 check out the USD/CAD on daily.... when price gets to 60 ema... time to start thinking a long there too...

I think if euro can hold its trendline on 4h chart then we can see it reverse togetehr with cable other than that and bad news for USD i dont think GBP will reverse, if euro does break its trendline then ,well, iguess down we go.

I agree with what you say on cable, I also think it will bounce straight of the 62 and move back up, if it does cross through then we may see a further downtrend, but my money is on the correction and moving on up.

man of course i catch a fever last night before that big move. Seekinglight showed the DBHLC right off the resistance, it doesnt get easier then that!

looks like you all did very well too , good to read

Lets see if it obeys the channel again or we get a break out
