yes, thats what the default settings are suppose to do. And thats what we are testing. Let me know if you run into issues.

The reason I asked if I could change the re-entry to 1 is because I'm using 100 pips SL in this strategy, rather than 50 + 50.

Like today, instead of being stopped out twice, I got 100 pips profit.

If stopped out in -100, I call it a day.
You're welcome. I dont normally trade this pair, but given its volatility I'd go for 100 SL and 100 TP once per day like you. But I just coded the EA to follow the strategy in here. But that what we are here for, help each other and find out the bet setup.

Hi,

Everyone pealse use this EA for your testing, I found some bugs and fixed them. Now you can also run it on the strategy tester, i fixed the strategy tester not reading this history correctly issue.

I'm sorry for all these updates, actually I was comparing the EA results with the results posted in this thread and I'm having some issues with the results posted here for the 17th and 18th of Oct.

I was orinignally closing the orders at 1800 but now at 2000 according to the rules.

New EA is attached, please run it in the history tester and see if its results match your results or the results posted in this thread.

What do you mean?

Right now you have an option to set the time at what you want the EA to close the trades automatically.

Someone requested that he/she wants to test this on GBPUSD from 0 - 6 range. Since 0 is a little tricky to handle, I've modified the code to let you set 0 as the start of the range.

P.S: The EA will work with any pair you want and any settings you want there are no restriction.

Hi, I use North Finance as a MT4 platform, they state that their server time is GMT +2. So in accordances with the recommended rules of this EA, to program the set file to have a start time of 2000 and an end time of 0400?

Suggested pairs are GBP/JPY, EUR/JPY and GBP/USD, from what I read on another forum. Please confirm.

I have a few money management ideas in mind and trailing stop is a part of it, but before I do all that I want to make sure I have all the basic rules in there and the EA has some signs of profitabililty.

I have been manually trading this system for a while now and its very safe and profitable so far - Thanks Nico!!

I have had a lot of success in backtesting with setting the SL the same as TP

ETC GBP/JPY sl 100 tp 100 instead of the regular 50

Lets see what next week brings

Hmm... the EA isn't ready for trading on a real account and I thought I've set it in code not to allow that, if its still allowing no biggie . But if and when you do you think you want to use the EA on your real account, just shoot me a pm and I'll send you one for your real account. I just dont want to put an unrestricted EA here or the source coz its going to end up on ebay, and I dont want that.

The default value is 50. Set it to what ever you want.
How it works, if you set the trailing stop to 50, once the EA is +50 it will set the stop to break even and move up pip by pip from there. If you dont want it to trail, set the value to 0.

Hi all, I'm still a bit concerned if I have the correct time settings for the broker North Finance. Sure most EA's should be able to work on any MT Platform broker.

However according to the recommended rules the start time should be GMT 1800 and the end time should be GMT 0200. So if a broker states their server time is GMT +2, do I set the EA for start time 2000 and an end time of 0400.

Or do I do the reverse, start time of 1600 and end time of 0000, will that make the EA work correctly to match up with the brokers server time?

Also what are the recommended pairs, GBP/JPY, others?

I believe Alpari is GMT +1, so you need to set the times to 19 and 3. Please make sure you use the latest version of the EA that I've posted.
