For Sure !! I got kicked into a long position and now it has come back and left me looking at my entry price. A lot easier on the eyes if they stall in profit instead of break even.

The move to the 9612 area maybe a tad bit higher started 2 hours ago on that spike we got. We should be going up now from here to that 9612 area before continuing down. We may bounce now or go to 9560 first. My overall move remains short. Im looking to hit my tp tomorrow.

i think they are drinking sake, that's why there is little movement, the traders are all hammered!! as for me i see a conspiracy started at thanksgiving. they pushed the price up and made it look like the sterling would hit 2.00 or higher and get us to join in and break us. the housing market slide was overdue, most of the new homes sold latley are the second and third homes for the baby boomers who are looking to make a quick nest egg jolt and retire a year a two early. i also wonder how the european curriencies are going up when the u.s has an unemployment rate half of europe's and airbus lost billions in their crappy plane and boeing got the orders????? auto sales are down because most families already have 3 cars for the 2 parents, and with gas prices close to $3 a gallon, no suv sales and major losses for the big three. couple that with the aftermath of 2005 hurricane season, we needed a pause to let the money from the fed get into the system. maybe i am wrong, but the bottom will have to fall from the curriencies soon or their interest rates will have to be double digits to stop major inflation and massive unemployment when our goods get cheaper that theirs. make any sense at all or am i drinking sake????

try the theory on page 150 of this thread. the chinese would sell 1 trillion usd and buy euros if the us pushed china to devalue the yuan quicker. paulson was pale cuz he just remembered that the bird flu and sars came from china and wondered if he was infected, not scared. the middle east oil money said they would buy the dollar, but they actually told china no more oil if they sold their usd holdings. the middle east oil men want euros since the $60 price for oil is like $45 now with the dollar falling, so they wanted toswitch to be worth more. as for china thinking they could take over korea and japan, don't forget the guandong rpovince around shanghi with 400 million population who would see their wealth go bye-bye if they sold their dollars ans that 2 million man army would be used to try and subdue that breakaway province who would ally themselves with taiwan over that move. i think it would end the communist control over china once and for all, but that is just my theory!! sorry about the rant, but this flat channel is driving me nuts!!!! this thing needs to move 300 pips each way twice a day to make me happy!!! anyone else agree???

bloomberg reports that some earthquakes caused internet to be out around taiwan, apparently also affecting hong kong, singapore... anybody asian based care to comment?

Yes, internet connection here in Manila has been crappy since the quake. My daughter's complaining because she can't trade in Neopets.com

wow, an earthquake in taiwan crashes all the communications in the far east. i didn't know the only phone exchange was in taiwan!! and i thought the u.s. had infrastructure problems !! the problems over there should not hurt the cable since only less than 2% of the trades in the asia time frames is wht the gbp/usd.

As of now the only problem is connecting to yahoo and gmail systems. Surfing to other sites are up and running so trading is OK.

For those that can't trade, your not missing anything! the market is pretty much flat.. from low to high only 45 pips so far. hardly anything to get excited about.

The average daily range for the gbpusd is 138 pips more commonly it moves around 125 pips. Below is what it has done so far this week. Little slow. If the down trend stays in tack then your daily high as of now will not change. Based on this information a nice safe projection would be every one can fill in the blank

I do not know about the rest of you, but my charts are saying that cable has been very flat for 16 hours+, trading in a 43 pip range, and in a 24 pip range for over 8 hours. It is also telling me that the pair has just breached my lower trend line (just barely anyway) and this just may be the beginning of a downward breakout.
