I wouldn't say soaring in the way I would expect it to with this news and revision, but if any pair would soar with this news I guess the USD/JPY would be as good as any.

Change the daylight savings time setting by turning it off, that should do the trick

yep, my GBPJPY short is behaving very badly. I went downstairs and got stuck making 5 cups of tea for my family. You can imagine my irritation lol.

I know this is a cable thread but a quick JPY update. USDJPY found support on the 50sma 4H chart at 118.27. GBPJPY found support at 231.53 which was roughly the low on the 21st.

I think I'll stick with my position, it's a demo trade and I'd like to see how it pans out in the longer term, but in the mean time... DAMN!

lol the silly forum thinks DST is always working everywhere or something, that did the trick thank u much been an hor behind for what 5 months or so lol was very annoying

Summary
We started around 8:00 am, Cable at 1.9626, typing as fast as I could think/talk, brief break for the news, back in down to 9558, 8 pips away from target. 9550 is fib (Dec 18-20). Cable could still get there and beyond. But about 80 pips overall so far in a slow, holiday, thinly traded, market. I didn't get 80, more like 40-50 but I'll take it.

On the short, others are calling for a short to 9450 or so, another 100 pips, by tomorrow, Thursday. I don't see it but those guys are pretty good at calling targets so I must be missing something. I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Headed to the next task. I hope it was as good for you as it was for me, if not better!!
