I can't post any pix, but if you look at the 1hr chart and notice how the small candles of last night (US time) formed a perfect support trendline. That's exactly where this little downfall stopped.

I wonder if now it got mad and will start to go north again....it could test the 900 levels again....but I wonder if any fear of a GBP rate cut will tame the beast....

FOREX: FT Sees Risk of "Fire Sale" of Subprime Securities San Francisco, Nov. 6. Adding to the gloom over the US markets and the USD is an article in the FT this afternoon that is headlined, "Risk of Securities File Sale Mounts" with the report warning that recent debt downgrades on CDOs are likely to forced selling of these obligations. It also states that signs are growing that the SIV "superfund" backed by the Treasury is stalling and finally, worries are mounting over the health of bond insurers such as MBIA and Ambac. There has been little retreat in the EUR/USD which trades at 1.4554 after a new record of 1.4570 today. Cable is at 2.0864 after a fresh 26-yr high of 2.0904 and USD/CAD continues to extend its lows, now trading at 0.9215, and seen reflecting the US market concerns. Stocks have bounced into the close, up 65 pts, but this does not appear to be dispelling the market concerns over the current subprime mess.
Numerous problems with US housing companies including Beazer and Hovanian were reported today with yet another builder, Ryland Group, set to hold a "fire sale" of current inventory this weekend. In addition, Fitch is cutting the ratings outlook on a number of banks.

but it is weird because if it was something fishy they would have done it on numbers like 2.0899 or 98 rather than after the big number was passed.....

Strategy:[email protected] the market has bounced off 2.0782 (Monday"s low) to rally to fresh highs by 2.0905. While daily momentum points north however, stochs and RSI showing negative divergence. As such, we expect the market to enter a period of corrective selling ahead of a resumption of the broader uptrend.

a tip from dailyfx, they seem to be thinking its going to be going down.

Wow, just now their stochs and rsi are showing selling signals ?...truth is, with these kind of growths, rsi and stochs do not work for obvious reasons. rsi takes into considerations movements relative to average levels of the past. We are obviously not trading average levels nowdays, therefore they do not work that well now...

the thing is, a divergence (of any type) means absolutely nothing if it's the only thing you see on the chart. you also need to see reversal patterns and some broken trendlines.

2.0893 is the resistance for now and support at 2.0853
Becareful with this line...
If cable break the resistance we might see 2.1
If cable break the support we might back to 2.07 level.

I'm closing. Resistance is deadly right now, no idea what can happen next. Also not a bad TP level (80 pips av on each)for those who are picking these light retracements.

As always, good luck.

Actually, some pretty nice bottoms are forming now, GU is nicest. EU is more rugged formations - less rounded/sexy on H4 than GU, but I think Tokyo will see some buying inboth. I have a VERY tight SL on the lows.
