p.s. Answers: yes, dear.........and no,dear........you could reverse the two for some real fun.....but that would be like putting in a pound short position before Christmas without a stop loss.......

i'm with MB trading and it looks like i can trade right now, i am just really nervous about any trades. am i seeing 150 pip moves right, or is that a figment??? be a nice payday if it is right!!

hey mike w. , thanks for the clarification on fib. i will have to read that 100 times to understand, but i will figure it out. no, not a billionaire just yet, but if i can use all of this info i see here and put it into practice, i just might be. i was thinking out loud that if we all bought into the market retracement, would that not help the movement along?? i figure the more pressure either long or short should make movement, albeit little, but there could be influence and sucker a few big players to sclap a few more pips!! a dream, but some are good!!

I have been looking at the dynamic displays for bloomberg and saxobank. I did not save any numbers. Perhaps if you get a demo from NorthFinance they would have charts. They apparently were reporting some of the large changes. A number of the pairs varied from the values on Oanda. I think that this happened after the Tokyo market closed this morning. It was the only major market open and after it closed this morning the reported values varied because of the very thin market. After Tokyo closed there was very little movement in the values on Oanda. As we again approach the opening of Tokyo the numbers from Bloomberg and Saxobank have come into line with the numbers at Oanda. I assume that the values at NorthFinance have done the same.

Personally I've found out that you don't want to continually close trades for the same size as your stops but let them go at least 2-3 times as long.
If they don't have the potential to go a multiple of the stop, then why did you enter the trade?

Prices onOanda are now matching saxobank... now back down to 1.9581

pound short is right! i got paid a whole six cents to hold it! also, i checked rates on cnbc world, i'm only down a couple of pips!

price for pound on cnbc world is currently 1.9588 as of 6:52pm eastern time.

Looks like things are normal... I could trade now since I use Oanda... except spreads are still at 10 pips for all pairs.

This is very wierd stuff, guys, I was in a short on Oanda Friday and was flipping out because I caught the Bloomberg quote at some relatives' house on TV, then came home to find my trade still in the black. I don't know what's up with these quotes, everyone is all over town...

Right now Oanda shows 1.9591...

If there is or was a gap... then it has already filled in...

I don't think there really is such a thing as gaps really, cause Oanda is always right there... price starts moving at noon on Sundays... BUT where you guys always say there is a gap... YES, I see it almost always gets filled in...

You know what i saw that also. The bloomberg quotes were far different from the actual quotes. I thought that was a replay or something.
