Emigrating to Florida next Monday the 5th so on radio silence until the 12th November (I mean November12)

My broker keeps telling me to buy more USD from him NOW as its about to go to 1.98

He will say anything for a sale but my house isnt sold (since april) and today I went to 3 car dealers to sell my car and the buyers would not even come to the front desk ! (1 owner from new, full service history and low mileage)..this is what's called a leading indicator chaps and the UK is really staggering - you won't see it in the stats for months perhaps but the US is not alone in this pregnant recession - that doesnt mean UK interest rates will dip but surely a crumbling economy can't sustain a strong currency - or can it...

heheheheh...it depends on where you live here. I live in Davie....plenty of rednecks, but in general one will feel more like they're living in Cuba than in an American southern state. And by the way the very south of Florida does not speak with a southern accent at all. For a really nice, old fashioned, southern accent, one must drive at least 200 miles north !!!! Pretty paradoxical...huh... ?!?!

Just writing to my spreadbet people to say we are going to jail if they dont close my account as its illegal in the land of the free. Have to find a new way of betting on shares (sorry, investing in our capital markets).
Feel edgy about 2.06 as I think we are hanging on the euro's coat tails - I would whack a huge short on at 2.10 and buy another wodge at 2.07.
Hope I never have to come back to what was england because the dollars I have bought won't buy me a rabbit hutch at this rate.

Well, we can't let this lackluster (to be polite and say the least) session mislead us.

This is the $100 oil / $800 gold week. God knows what's for the currencies, specially euro at this extreme level...

Add Halloween and Bernanke to the preparation and ERs downtown Manhattan are going to get busy pretty quickly.
