What I mean is I dont set target to take profit my long cable if the market goes favorable to my position BUT if the market adverse I will cut loss @ 1.9669 and initiate a short pos targeting 1.9600.

Possible he wants to test the water and see if it hits his stop then he reverse, but why would you want to do that? OK maybe his logic is the answer to all our trading tech. Throw in 50 pips and see what happens.. get stopped and go the other way.. Hmm interesting trading tactic.

He is longing at 1.9720 and SL 1.9669, then short from there.

Is this how most traders trade?
Get a position in if it gets stopped out reverse and go the other way? and during whipsaws call it the day? or Riding on luck and hope the entry was a correct one? If that's the case and you're making profit then perhaps i should do the same.. No wonder i'm losing money!!

Hello everybody... I'm still having a bad, bad hangover after yesterday's crazy session...

Hope reason and sanity to be restablished today... upward Channel formed, looks like cable has all that it takes to climb now... Very nice breakout from the downward channel ocurring last week...

Something strange just happened.

MT4 chart just showed a drop of 10 pips, my brokers plateform did not, I made a Short and just caught 10 pips, like a future indicator showed me to short before the price kicked in, anyone else had the same happen?

I wonder if we can get a broker that's really slow with their feed, that way our chart would show the price before the broker's price kicks in and catch some pips.. any comments on where to find a lagging broker?

Yup FXCM but after the smoke they will adjust your statement to 0 profit because their alibi is that their system freeze...

I did that for a while by running two price feeds. They caught on. Doesn't work anymore.

I use fxcm, hmm maybe that's why the feed was slow.. so far that 10 pips is staying in my balance.. they haven't take it out yet!

How come the cable will appreciate if the result is 9-0? You said already that no hike in the future. If the vote is 8-1 or 7-2 instead, that means a rate hike in the future meetings is more likely that would trigger the cable to go up!
