If thats true and actually only then I can understand why US $ is falling like rock against almost every currency on earth and yet the stock markets there look in not a bad condition comparatively.
I used to chart DX*SP to see this. The free futures data source no
longer has that capability.

A united Fed was increasingly confident that inflation no longer posed a significant threat, which along with an "extremely weak" housing sector paved the way for its Sep 18 50 bps rate cut, according to the minutes. "With economic growth likely to run below its potential for a while and with incoming inflation data to the favorable side, the easing of policy seemed unlikely to affect adversely the outlook for inflation," according to the minutes. Officials gave no hint of the timing, or even the direction, of future policy moves, saying "future actions would depend on how economic prospects were affected by evolving market developments and by other factors." The minutes also say that "all members," not just the 10 who voted, supported a 50 bps cut last months. That's despite the fact that there was skepticism about the August negative payrolls report, which has since been revised upwards

The just-released minutes from the Fed's latest meeting show that FOMC members were concerned that more dollar weakness could lead to higher inflation, saying there is an inflation risk if dollar keeps falling "significantly."

I have 38.2 from the old-old run up (to 0652) at 0259, and 61.8 at 0270 from the run down (0652-9651) - both 'close enough' - but no 100 fib at that level on any of my fib charts

USD strengthened slightly after release of FOMC minutes from the Sept. rate-cutting meeting, which said there could be an inflation risk if the dollar keeps falling 'significantly.' It is unusual for FOMC to refer to the dollar. Recently, EUR/USD at 1.4082 from 1.4049 late Mon, while USD/JPY at Y117.08 from Y117.38

On the 1hr chart, I went from the recent HIGH of 2.0435(oct 5), down to the previous low of 2.0278 (oct4).

As a result, the 100 level sits exactly on 2.0278.....while 0 starts on 2.0435....as it went down, it stopped exaclty on each level, with a big downfall from 61.8% (2.0338) to 100% (2.0278) in the morning.

We probably started from different points. I am assuming that's what most people do anyways, therefore it will work in both ways.....

Well, I'm not in the BOVESPA. But I got a cousing trading there... He´s the real COWBOY. His first week was exactly - I mean the very same week the selloff started in August

His first words about his experience - translated to English - were "WTF"?????

USD has so far shown only a very modest reaction to the FOMC's explicit mention of heightened inflation risks should the dollar "continue to depreciate significantly." The reference to the dollar, although unusual in FOMC minutes, wasn't enough to cause investors to adjust positions in any big way. The FOMC minutes don't often provide a reason for forex trades and today was no exception. EUR/USD at 1.4079 from 1.4090 pre-FOMC and 1.4049 late Mon, while USD/JPY at Y117.02 from Y116.96 before the minutes and Y117.38 late a day ago.
