If you go to james 16 chart page 105 and posts 1568 and 1569 you will see why they were looking at a long position for gbpusd. I found it interesting.

Yes Interesting huh. Maybe we aught to get into gold. That bit of information helped me to react to the movement quickly. Also that news and itme's analysis helped me to pick up 168 pips on gbp/jpy.

Nice one. Are you trading with real account? How much did you profit in today's crazy uptrend?

I tried to retrace when it reaches 1.9605 but got busted on my SL 1.9654, well I lost a little of my funds

It's nice to be able to utilize all the sources on this forum. To say the obvious there are a lot of sharp people. Of course it all comes down to us making our own descisions based on accumulation of facts. We still got to pull the trigger so to speak.

One for sure is if PPI is positive or above expection, expect GU to make a big retracement going down to 1.9450. The big traders out there set this huge uptrend at the opening of London for them to make the retracement after the PPI news later.

Look i'm not trying to argue with you!

I have posted 3 days earlier that I spoted usd/chf on the 38.6% retracement and asked if that looks like it's reversing, and if it does cable should go up.. I'm saying this move came out of no where.. yes, I was shorting it and wanting to catch few pips drop during the "V" from european open to london open. Did not expect it would take off running when there's no "NEWS", and i'll say this again.. YOU"RE LUCKY that YOU caught this..i'm not lashing at you.. and ur prove isn't worth crap. it's just saying it might happen, never stated when or where it would go.. I knew it would happen too.. but, i sure in hell did not know it would happen now.. so don't give me that crap. you held a Long position way before hand.. that just means you had a bigger stop and let it ran, not a professional trader to hold a position for a week and oh now you got out you think ur the best..

don't jump the gun, anything can happen when news comes out, so you never know till the news comes out.

I think the low liquidity could make PPI spiketastic, probably south.

Previous: -0.9% 0.6%Outlook: The prices that US Producers receive at all levels of production look to continue lower in November, as a moderation of commodity prices and slowing demand put a damper on net inflation. Though the headline yearly rate will likely bounce off of previous 5-year lows, a clear overall downtrend has fostered a more sanguine outlook on domestic price pressures—reducing speculation of continued hawkishness on the part of US Federal Open Market Committee officials. Fed-watchers place considerably less weight on the Producer-linked measure as they do the Consumer Price Index, but any negative surprises could only reduce inflationary risks and increase the likelihood of lower interest rates through the medium term.

Previous: The US Producer Price Index matched previous 5-year lows, as a contraction in energy and automobile costs led the headline year-on-year rate at -1.6 percent. Such a soft inflation figure led many to speculate that the US Federal Reserve was likely to cut overnight lending rates through the medium term, but recently strong retail sales data suggests that solid demand may sustain inflationary pressures through coming months. Markets will likely ignore numbers at consensus for tomorrow’s release, with only a truly surprising result to elicit the same reaction we saw from recently soft consumer price inflation figures.

Cable just jumped off a consisten down channel, this time...

Is it valid to consider a breakout from this channel resuming uptrend?

Well mama, here are my statistics:
100% of the time I got greedy, I lost money.

So I don't care if I miss the first 20-30 pips during the blast... Usually, you notice that big moves, say 60-100 pips, are carried out in steps... Every few minutes the market calms down a little - time to surf...

But when it spends like 4-5 minutes stuck in a given price, then I jump off, because de retracement is about to happen. Sometimes a give a few pips away in that retracement to make sure it is taking place... Then I get myself a few pips in the retracement....


Bottom line, in a 100 pips blast + 30-50 pips retracement I make myself my 40-50 pips...

As I said, if I place a position just before the news for pure greed and gamble - that is, in an unjustifiable action - I loose...

Never much to say that this is the way I DO IT and it works fine to me... This is not an advice...

And, by the way, I live a Brazilian currency reality.

USD/R$ = 2,15.

So for every pip I make in USD, I'm making 2 pips in Real... That makes me confortable making less pips ...
