I've been in this trade, long on the GBP/CHF since 12/12/06. You GUESSED price was going to go down man???!!! Come on!! And then you try to debunk me as if I got lucky, when I used a reliable strat? You were trying to get luckier than ME!!!!

I just don't think it all luck and I think you're wrong. I think you thought you knew and you're lashing out at me....

I see this way:

Losing a big move like this DOES NOT mean that I LOST MONEY. I never had that money to be lost.

Now I'm shorting the retracement and i'm 20 pips+ so far. For me that all Forex is about: compounding money, even if it is little by little. I care much more on actually losing 30 pips than "not earning" 130 pips or something.

One of the greatest sure-fire I've learned here is scalping the retracement, like in the big news. You will never make the 100s of pips in the big move, but you'll always get the 30-50 in the retracement...

Come on guys, let's get millionaire... PIP PER PIP....

Okay that's cool if you can scalp the retracement with some success. But to trade against the trend on something like the cable is risky business.

You ever wonder guys just when us small boys get a general fill for the market the big boys come's in and say not so fast little man, everybody was thinking sell gbp/usd, makes you wonder who's watching the book's. and it's always during london when we get the sureprise

Indeed... But I do that with eyes wide open. Quick shot, make the pips and get out in case that "retracement" is just a temporary rest to resume trend...

And also, I only do that in huge moves, like news... Never in a choppy market...

Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but it seems that the news coming from Thailand has upset the forex marked big time. All asian currencies seems under pressure and everybody is looking for safe haven and I guess that GBP along with Euro are the most obvious ones.

This move could continue until Yen is stable again, when that is 118.50? Nobody knows.
