I see no gaps at all in the charts - must just be your dodgy broker.

Counting from 00:00Gmt, its 135 pips....low @9475 & high @ 9610...correct me if wrong

Does anyone know what triggered the buying of GBP? I searched bloomberg, FXCM, and other sites but found none.

There is a "pipe" formation in 5min @ 1.9610 if the cable failed to breach that level 1.9520 will do for the coming session....

In what time zone? I see no gaps at all. The forex market tends not to just gap randomly. There's too much liquidity. It usually only happens after news and it doesn't always fill afterwards.

Well, there hasn't been any news and the pair looked really oversold, it was bound to happen. Secondly, Im sure alot of stops were placed at yesterdays high. Market stalled just below it then broke through. I think it should go back to that stalled area before news time. By then there might be a negative reversal in RSI which if propelled by news should bring cable all the way back down.

Kind of like the NFP & CPI crazy spike straight up then straight down... Today was insane... Good learning lesson. Hope some made money off that move.
