USD/JPY shooting up.. possibly to 61.8 retracement on weekly, so in my mind cable willl drop.

Risky...u call that risky...no seriously...i would call any short till 500 VERY risky...we are now in stage, when we can or we should trade Pivots, buy below Pars(on weekly chart),...or trade incoming news,...so risky longs i see at 2.099-2.109 (that would be risky)...

how about if u checked out GBP/jpy, if he wonts to go more up then usd/jpy, then it is no way risky...and the Fed did make a cut for 0.5, do u think that market will not price in the 0.25 cut...?

If the charts move sideways during the entire US session, only then I'd believe it was pissing no liquid movement during this US session

Interestingly I have noticed strange things can happen during US holidays. Do you remember what happened to cable during the last two thanks giving holidays?
