I am sorry, but I dont see the sense in such re-entry strat.

BR's view is a little of on how it works.

First the pair must be trending (jacko only trade EU)
you enter on round numbers, based on 50% fibs and TL's
Sl is always 50pips and trailing on EU (i use different pips on other pairs)
TP is your SL

If SL is hit for a negative amount of pips you wait for another 50pips against your trade and then place an entry order at the point you were stopped out (if the pair continues trend you never lose pips) this is his Anti-Hedge system.

If SL is hit and you made pips you can re-enter were you see fit.

I personnally have used this on both AU and EU, compounding every 50-100pips, banks over 2000 pips today when my SL was hit.

new orders already placed at both 1.4200(i'm expecting a retracement) and 1.4250.

the thread is well worth a read. i use a similar theory on other pairs but use different indicators for entry points.

Well yep... For example myself I do not like partial strategies I like when there is a plan to every scenario and there are no holes in there in the logic.

Hello MPP, thank you for pointing that thread. I had read Jacko's ideas and I agree with some of his points, especially as far as trading in the direction of the trend, the round numbers and the 50% fib (my favorite one too).

I dont agree with him though on his stop loss approach nor on his re-entry strategy, which is the one I was focusing on in my previous post. I hope someone can cast some light onto this topic as of why such strat makes sense.

i think it's logical, it's only for the trending and non volatile pairs you couldn't work it very easily on GU, but it's great on AU and EU, possible some other pairs that i haven't found yet.

try it on GJ and you can kiss you arse goodbye, by the time you Sl hit the pairs gone again.

each to there own and i don't mean players i mean system's, this is great for EU, Auslanco's system looks great for GJ. and soon i will add WTB's and Bullrocks to the list.

even the daily95pips thread is showing good results. no tool kit should contain only one screwdriver. (that said i think my builder only has a hammer, might buy him a multi tool for xmas. LOL)

When I quoted logic I wasn't talikng about Jackos system as I dont know all the details of it so I cannot judge... I just said in general.. Systems with holes can give surprises (nasty ones)

it's not so much about re-entry as it is about anti-hedgeing, something that kills alot of new traders, i myself got hammered by it in june. and only now just caught up, big lesson learnt.

affectively the pair has moved 100pips from your entry point, the 50pips you lost and the 50pips before placing your order.

because his system uses very few indicators he's not looking at 38% retracements and placing his stop below that, it's just 50pips. minimises loses and is easy to set. after all EU dosen't move very quickly.

now re-entry is either via the A-H system or a round number. so as an example if you got placed an order at 1.4200, it's executed and then proceeds to 1.4230, your Sl has moved to 1.4180, now it retraces and hits your SL, you then wait for it to go to 1.4130 before placing your entry order or if it fails to go to 1.4130 you look for new entry points, based on your TL's round numbers and fib's.

agreed, holes in systems are a big issue. but i think he's got them all covered and you should see his predictions for the EU. Almost like his platform has a see in the future button.LOL

his trick isnt strategy at all
and also isnt new
if people here read they will found it in many trading books
check trader vice, trading by the book and you will found it there

and it's a way to stay in the market if you stopped out
it's a way to admit that you was on the wrong way and you must reverse immediately
simple

Correct me if I am wrong... I don't notice that Jacko is explaining about reversing. My opinion... he is more to stay with the trend strategy. If u r out... stay away awhile and then re-enter again at SL. Of course you have to establish the trend in the first place.

Hi WTB,

The thing abt the AH strat is that the trader needs to be clear abt 1 thing...the trend.

It works because the trader knew he had chosen the wrong entry zone and the correction proved to be deeper, while he will take the chance to get price at a cheaper rate, he would also use the zone where he gets stopped out to win win back his original losing trade.

if you dont know the difference between the long/medium/short term views you must go and pick a small book in trading basics like DOW theory and read it

Me too. I entered short by made a wrong calculation accidentally, I should stay aside today if I follow my strategy.

This short has bother me for whole day, since I have no idea about where is GU going and don't know should I keep it or take lost.

I short @ 2.0445, any comment are welcome.

That is very brave of you, against the long term trend and weak US fundamentals. It might hit if carry trade collapses as that usually adds a lot of dollar strength

i sold "sarkozy" stocks, he was good to me,..i like the guy,...i know they will go 20% more up from here, but still am greatfull from my +5%...now im waiting for euro to outperform, and make another +1,+2, gbp,...i see also up,..cant trigger buy at this level however,...i expect bravado coming back,...bensoll i like u, and so i vouch u, i dont know what the "others" are waiting , but u are in when u should be...stay cool ggg

this trade i have is an adventurous one actually.. SL is at break even so no worries there... Just using fib levels from april 2001 and i expect a retrace to the median to be honest since also there is the weekly 50 SMA there at 1.9800...

as i said this is a long term trade... few weeks perhaps... however if the pair decides to go lower and lower.. i will always remove my SL to profit.
